If anything it proves OP's point very well. You can have any excuse of a thread to NOT discuss /tv/ related stuff and the threads will get plenty of activity, but make a thread about something non-sanctioned by the /tv/ denizens and watch it sink to the archives. I made a thread about The Prisoner (1967) three days ago and it only got two replies.
