>>215062932Yeah it's fine. People are comparing it to 2013 to 2016 Rick & Morty and it's not that anymore. That early Rick & Morty really hit the zeitgeist and also had that Roiland v Harmon tension in the background. After that the zeitgeist had moved on, woke normies decided the show was bad for society for some reason, and Harmon and the writers won over the creative process. What it is now is like very good Rick & Morty fan fiction, made by a mix of people who loved it and people who wanted to fix it. >>215064320Like all of them, it suffers from not having Roiland to improv the lines. Rick is lamest when he's just a Rick ex Machina, but at least when Roiland was voicing it there was some kind of bite back against it. In this one it was very much a 'now that I did the thing I could have done at the start, what did we learn today Morty' kind of vibe.
