Why didn’t Frodo just have the eagles fetch a bucket of lava from Mt. Doom and bring it back to the Shire to melt the One Ring there?
>>
>>215066645
what would the bucket be made of?
>>
One thing I don’t understand:
After the first night in the woods Frodo would notice that the wraiths know generally where the ring is but they can’t see its precise location.
Why not just find some random meadow off in the middle of nowhere and bury it like 3-4 feet down? They’ll know sort of where it might be but they’ll never find it.
>>
>>215067466
Sauron would take over Middle Earth even without the Ring
>>
>>215066645
If I was an eagle I'd be like fuck these guys. Not my problem. Then fly away and fund some giant worms to eat or some shit
>>
>>215067331
The same type of rock that mount doom is made of
>>
>>215066645
Wouldn't the lava lithify?
>>
>>215067623
gandalf could cast a fireball spell to make it lava again
>>
he should've just set the ring on the ground and drop a fat turd on it. nobody would wanna touch it then forever. done.
>>
>>215067466
The ring has a mind of its own. It would probably make an earthworm crawl through it or something, and then the worm would bring it to the surface.
>>
why didn't they just stop sauron from making rings in the first place so there were no movie or books at all
>>
>>215067553
that doesn't sound right, but i don't know enough about volcanoes to dispute it
>>
>>215066645
the eagles were afraid of the witch king, orcs and sauron
>>
>>215068233
But the villain's name is SAARon
>>
>>215067466
the ring has a will of it's own and will eventually find it's way back to sauron. it's why the ring sometimes randomly falls onto or off of frodo's finger
>>
>>215068395
>Once upon a time a guy thought about making some powerful magic rings and actually started designing him but a powerful coalition of humans, elves, and dwarves decided to kill him. THE END
>>
why didn't Elrond push Isildur into the lava to begin with?
>>
>>215068625
Agent Smith jumped into his body and prevented him from killing Isildur
>>
why didn't Gandalf pilot the balrog like a mecha and take the ring to the lava?
>>
>>215067331
unobtanium
>>
>>215067466
Why not have the eagles continually yell so as to distract the ringwraiths?
>>
>>215066645
Why didn't frodo just forge himself his own, more powerful ring?
>>
>use Pippin and the Palantir to trick Sauron into thinking Gondor has no defense against Mount Doom lava golems
>Mount Doom lava golems show up
>have Legolas put The Ring on an arrow and fire it into one
>>
>>215067522
That is actually what the Eagles did. They only helped a little because they owed Gandalf a favor.
>>
>>215068364
A worm can't do that.
>>
why didn't they build a giant skateboard ramp for Legolas to jump over the mountains stiaight to the volcano?
>>
>>215068233
kek
>>215068507
kekker
>>
>>215067466
>know sort of where it is
then they would have an army of orcs dig the entire area. Remember we're talking about timespans of thousands of years, they have time. And the ring sort of has a mind of its own which is how Gollum found it.
>>
Why didn't sauron just have a terminator travel back in time to kill frodo before he was born
>>
>>215067522
The movies didn't go into it but in the books that's what happened and why the "but why didn't they just ride the eagles?" shit doesn't work. The eagles didn't want to help at first because they didn't like humans. They eventually helped at the end because Gandalf convinced them.
>>
>>215066645
Why didn't the fredo just eat the ring
>>
>>215066645
and what bucket could hold lava?
>>
>>215067466
for the same reason they didn't throw it into the ocean.

There are creatures that exist in the old magic.
Creatures as powerful as the balrogs if not more so.
They eventually would be drawn to it, much like The Watcher was.
>>
>>215069393
the ring was just in a river for hundreds of years
>>
>>215067466
This is cut from the movie, but at the council of Elrond they do discuss just getting rid of it somewhere and not dealing with. It is seen as just kicking the can down the road, as Sauron will just get it eventually then. They have the chance to destroy it, so they go for it.
>>
>>215069506
yes. And then Gollum's friend picked it up and then Gollum killed him and took it. On a timescale of thousands of years, 500 years isn't that big of a deal. The point is the ring found a way.
>>
>currently watching rotk
>the beacons have been lit
>gondor calls for aid
>rohan WILL answer
fucking kino
>>
>>215069457
Obviously they'd have to make one out of igneous rock first
>>
>>215069539
my point is it was chilling in a river and no one found it, it didn’t even call to sauron
>>
>>215069612
but Gollum's friend did find it though.

>for hundreds of years
thousands. If I were Sauron, I would have been so pissed at my One Ring for being that goddamn lazy. It didn't accomplish a thing while he was gone when it could have corrupted a several big leaders turning their entire kingdoms to the service of evil.
>>
>>215067466
now a mole has a heart of evil and he'll make his way to Mordor in about 500-700 years

>But Radaghast, shouldn't you go help save Middle Earth? Wasn't that a really important mission you had?
>Yeahhhh, but I'm just like... I don't like my job. I don't think I'm gonna go anymore.
>You're just not going to go? Won't Eru be mad at you?
>I don't know. But I really don't like doing it, and I'm just not gonna go.
>So you're going to quit being a Wizard?
>Na, not really. I'm just gonna stop going.
>>
Why didn't Gandalh simply use his magic to blast the ring to the moon?
