The Rock flopped? Oh man

>The Rock kept doing the same shit for a decade till everyone got tired of his ass by the time Black Adam came out
>Tries to reinvent himself and flops
>Tom Cruise tries to do the same shit for over a decade and people got tired of it
>Did a Part 1 - Part 2 grand finale in a time were people are tired of content being split in to two, he flops
>Dicaprio attaches himself to Paul Anderson, who hasn't had a huge hit since There Will Be Blood nearly 2 decades ago, and he flops
Its more like they tried to reinvent themselves, tried to do outdated strategies and worked with has-been directors. They have been too content with thinking that their name will always carry them. As another anon mentioned him, I'll say, Brad Pitt has been the only one that has done consistent varied work in the last decade. People know when you see a movie with him that it'll be a solid film and he'll give a decent entertaining performance. Tom Cruise has been dwindling his name for almost two decades now with boomer action slop and Leonardo Dicaprio was chasing an Oscar for nearly a decade and barely took any roles to keep his name relevant and a Box Office draw.

The movie star has been dead for a while. No actor or actress can sell a movie just by starring in it anymore.

The Rock was cooking an Oscar with this film, audience doesn't matter for this one, it's not meant to be a blockbuster
