Lost interest in the Advanced series. Removing Misty was terrible, although I didn't dislike May, but I hated her little brother. Brock coming back was good but it pissed me off that he had left all his cool Pokemon behind at home and only had his fucking Forretress with him. Ash also left all his cool pokemon behind to get new shit, which I know is standard procedure to shill the new creatures, but at the time it still frustrated me.

But the Pokemon anime clearly peaked during the Kanto Saga and everyone knows it. Ash should have just barely won the Indigo League, then we get a time skip in which Ash has married Misty and had a son and a daughter with her. Then the Pokemon anime should have been rebooted to be more story-based instead of essentially just an advertisement for the games and with a new main character to boot, but with Pikachu obviously remaining the mascot of the Pokemon franchise. That way the Pokemon anime would not have been as rigidly formulaic as it became, at least in my opinion.
