What is the best French film you have ever seen?

Assuming this isn't a thinly veiled Forward Young Man thread, I really enjoyed watching Pickpocket and Au hasard Balthazar. Bresson is a much more subdued and disciplined director than Godard and it's clear he never respected actors as much as he did directors.
