Season 1 was lightning in a bottle that HBO understandably tried to capitalize on with further seasons but it just wasn't the same show. I wouldn't mind seasons 2 and 3 as much if they had a different title, but they just don't measure up. The shootout in season 2 that was obviously supposed to compare to the one track shot in season 1 was comical. Everything between the black cop and his wife in season 3 that tried to mimic the conflict between Marty and his wife was just irritating and a slog to watch.
