Not just as Neo or John Wick, you can apply this to his roles in stuff like Cyberpunk, Point Break and even Bill & Ted. It ends up feeling like the directors don't know what to do with him besides have him be "generic cool guy" in everything. Next, I hate that Keanu Reeves tries to pretend he's not old as fuck. He owns a motorcycle company, grows his hair out to his shoulders and talks like a slacker in every single interview. He's not even stylish, he's one of those guys who thinks wearing a blazer in all black everywhere is somehow not cringe as fuck. If you want to experience a shock then look for any recent appearance he's had with Alex Winter, he's like a confused and out of touch uncle next to a respectable father. This isn't an exaggeration, Keanu has no kids while Alex has three, so of course he spends more time trying to appear "hip" to the youth while his former co-star continues his bloodline.However, that's not the biggest problem I have with Keanu Reeves. No, what I despise about him is that he has this reception of being a humble guy behind the scenes. Honestly, who the fuck actually cares if a millionaire is nice to people? Wow, someone with tons of money, fame and opportunity isn't a conceited piece of shit, that totally means they're cool. Plenty of actors were like this throughout history and it doesn't change that they're still part of the elite, they look down on everyone who has less fortune they do, and they probably grew up with a silver platter anyways. If this seems petty, just remember what I said at the beginning: Keanu is typecast as a regular dude, when that's a lie.
