The Smashing Machine is a remake of a documentary in fiction form basically and with staunch focus on the interpersonal drama between Kerr and his wife, Benny thought that shit is experimental ot something but it basically ends up being a regular ass biopic just a bit more naturalistic in tone than usual, with human awkwardness and such

His wife made a movie this year, she already made Yeast in like 2010 and made a follow up this year. If I Had Legs I'd Kick You. It looks very much like a Safdie kind of movie.
