Arthur is for 6-7 year olds, and has some very basic messaging for kids just starting school. Amazing stuff for young kids, and just a great feeling show all around. But intended to be very light and accessible. Hey Arnold! was more for the kids aged 8-11 and had slightly deeper, young adult themes. Great for that late elementary, entering middle school era. Much funnier characters and more interesting settings. We were blessed to have shows like this in our childhood.
