Most of his points are far fetched and circumstantial, but I do agree on tone. Tone is the most important thing the first scene of a movie has to get right, otherwise the audience will be disappointed. Sometimes a trailer will spoil the entire story but you can still enjoy the movie as long as it's well paced and doesn't unnecessarily toy with your expectations.

It’s actually hilarious just how much the sequels conformed to his criticisms
>>

I don't think they actually said any of the things you listed.

This thread is the worst thread since my son.

>don't credit other people for their images

>stick ads everywhere, ask for donations, sell merch
lame. there isn't even any new/interesting criticism or substance to what he says, and hiding behind a 'character' is just cowardly.

GOOD criticism and analysis, from 1999:

B-but i was told everyone LOVED the prequels until the plinkett reviews!!!

millennials and zoomers, the target audience loved them. there was a small vocal minority of loud gen Xers, the kind that the comic book guy represents on the simpsons, that couldn't stand them. eventually some of those guys got together and made a funny meme video that tricked younger people into thinking the prequels were bad using comedy, but the prequels had staying power unlike their funny video and are beloved again.

the line between x and millenial should be around 1990, the last year a kid could be born and have a childhood without computers in every home.

my parents didn't get a computer until after the Y2K scare was over.

The only time I saw episode 2 and 3 without skipping scenes was in the theatre. There's too much cringe.

Truthnuke. Irony aside, Mike is responsible for the state of modern Star Wars, which is why he had to release a Plinkett video coping about it for like 50 minutes.
