I really hate that scene in Step Brothers when Derrick is telling deep sea fishing stories at dinner and Dale ask a very harmless question and everybody yells at him and makes fun of him. He was just trying to get involved in the conversation with his family and how was he supposed to know how big a Bonita Fish is?
The entire story is about trophy fishing so you could assume they are big. But the point of the scene is that Derrick is a huge asshole and the parents enable it.
