Ludacris got the opportunity to act in 2 Fast 2 Furious after Ja Rule turned down $500K to return. Director John Singleton said "Ja was acting like he was too big to be in the sequel" & wouldn't return his calls. So Singleton offered Ludacris a role instead even though he'd never met him before.
