Is this any good.
>>
first season is. Second season they crammed 3 season worth of story into one, and it's super rushed. despite being super rushed, todays adhd audience still found it slow.
>>
>>215086686
yes. I watched it because of all the hype and it didn't let me down
>>
S1: 10/10
S2 first half: 6/10
S2 second half: 8.5/10
>>
The ep "Who Are You?" in S2 was Ozymandias tier television. Star Wars will never have that kind of quality again.
>>
Yes. But it manages to be good by not really feeling like Star Wars, ignoring some of the universe's established logic and having a tone that not at all consistent with the OT even though it's set in the same era.
>cast is 99% humans and aliens are extremely rare, even in places like Coruscant which should be as mixed and diverse as it gets
>for some reason the Empire has a reliance on a prison labor force to produce a lot of their weapons and equipment, even though elsewhere in Star Wars there are fully automated factories where droids build other droids
>>
no. its boring as fuck. its only glazed because its the "least bad" of the new star wars offerings. its just like any other current day streaming slop
>>

>its the "least bad" of the new star wars offerings.
That's Skeleton Crew

First season is, second season is the essence of mediocrity
>>
>>215086953
Cloud City is not crewed by robots, they have tiny pig people doing the dirty jobs.
>>
>>215086686
there's some merit in it, but also a ton of flaws
in the first season, the first two episodes are skippable; in the second, the first three episodes are skippable (that is, they're actually better off being skipped, they're that inconsequential and bad)
there are a number of events in both seasons that occur because the plot says so rather than any sort of logical necessity or consistency (in many cases, this causes extreme dissonance in the viewer, because characters we are supposed to believe are smart (Luthen is a multiple offender) do indefensibly stupid things).
s1 prison arc and ISB scenes, and any scenes in s2 with Partagaz, Krennic, or Kleya (minus only a couple), are vastly better-realized and more enjoyable than any other content in the series

There is one episode where there is a pretty good shower of meteors, but the rest of the episodes are nothing remarkable.
>>
>>215086686
Season1 is shockingly kino, by far the best Star Wars content
>>
>>215086686
beautifully shot and acted
writing is good so long as you forget it's supposed to be star wars
severely overrated though, ultimately it adds nothing new to the ip and can be skipped without any loss of information
>>
I found myself inexplicably captivated by Kleya in S2, have any other anons experienced this?
>>
>>215086686
Its just kinda hard to talk about at the end of the day. There's no future story its over and then besides all the big speeches its not a lot of wacky nuances or memetic moments.

Lost is an example of a show people can talk about decades later.

>>215089130
It has several of the top Star Wars scenes ever, Kleya and Krennic interview, the Mon Mothma speech along with the escape, and the massacre.
>>
>>215091039
Ah yes the boss mommy speech just what Star Wars needed.

Yeah but recall what was happening on Geonosis, the factory that Anakin and Padme almost die in
>>
>>215091307
don't hurt yourself, little buddy.
>>
>>215091307
Wow. What a riveting scene. Truly made Star Wars shine.
Glad I didn’t watch.
>>
Are alien costumes too hard to make? I want to see more diversity than just humans.
>>
>>215091575
The lack of aliens seems to have been a creative choice, a way of making the show feel more serious and grounded... when Star Wars shouldn't really be grounded at all

>inexplicably

I can explain it for you.
>>
>>215086686
It's good but it's certainly not Star Wars.
>>
>>215087888
It is boring af, and also its not Star Wars.
>>
>>215091318
I don't care about any of that prequel garbage
