John Logan was such a hack writer in the early 2000s
These films are masterpieces compared to any modern slop.
>the Nemesis is actually just a younger version of youShouldn't it be The Agonist?
I still remember Harry Knowles skewering Nemesis on AICN, but I get the feeling Trekkers are less choosy these days

>>215087321It couldn't have been worse than Rugrats in Paris.
>>215087321>I still haven't seen Sinbad to this dayYou aren't missing a good storyline
>>215087272Nemesis even in a vacuum is pretty bad. The ole "cloned younger self" aside, it lacks a concise plot to be able to have in various scenes and set pieces. Nothing about it actually feels original, like it's all borrowed or reused ideas for all kind of stories you've seen. Not only is the villain a clone, but there's 2 Datas. It just feels like so many things combined, and the one thing it doesn't feel like is Star Trek TNG. Then there's the fact that Troi was going to be cut from the movie and replaced with 7 of 9. Jeri Ryan said no and essentially saved Marina Sirtis job. As someone at paramount either didn't like her, or her character. They wanted her dropped from the franchise, as Nemesis was not going to be the last. Then of course they had to write in a rape scene with Troi.
