Netflix abandoned Silverlight like 10 years ago.

If the app can't run HTML5 you're fucked
>>

May as well just get a modern fucking streaming device. In fact, just get a new TV. They usually have streaming services installed already.

Oh no. I just popped it in to see if it works and it still does. I got one before the 2020s even began.

Mine too, and I'm actually using it more than ever now. Installed a 1tb drive, modded it and backed up all my games to it. So much fun.

I lost my password and now I can't get online with it. I'm worried that if I start a new playstation account it will lock me out of my games that I downloaded on it. It had always saved my password for that temp email so I didn't worry.
Then suddenly it's gone and I have no access. I guess you can't download games to it anymore, but I did want to use it for youtube or hulu. It never worked for surfing websites.
Anyone know why that was? Like security updates or something? The browser was always garbage. You'd spend forever typing in an address with the controller and it wouldn't work.
I still play Skyrim and GTA5. Still haven't beat either.
>>
>>215088921
It only does everything.
>>
>>215097476
If you know the email address you used go to the playstation site, try to log in and click the 'forgot password' link and do a reset.

It's pretty powerful. It'd be silly to stop it serving as a solution for people who can't stream from their TV's hardware.

PS4 and 5 don't have the option to stream from phones, as in what is shown on phone screen sent to TV, phone screen on or off.
And they don't play many formats either. Just webm VP9 and MP4.

AV1 is the best video format currently, could do more (there could be a much better video format, that during conversion stylises, blurs, denoises, antialiases, eliminates banding, replaces pixels with vector gradients for sky etc ie makes it look good and reduces file size by an extreme amount.

Such a format may be more demanding for hardware to play, but should be fine at low resolutions. Local hardware changing video to suit should be an option to, especially expanding colour depth and intensifing it. That could, and should be a part of compression. Compression should consider video ahead, all of it and make every scene look good, changed to save size, but mostly to make it look better. Varying framerate, audio quality, resolution, etc. Elements/section of the screen/scene in different resolutions. Some depth of field maybe. What you are meant to look at getting the best quality. Blur is much better than blocking. Frame interpolation could compensate for framrate reduction or frames of TV (display) being insufficient to show movement without jumps. Which is always. It always needs more frames to stop positions of things jumping. Brain compensates, it shouldn't have to, that is probably mind wasted. Aging people, reducing their ability.
Frames eg thousands, layered over eachother in sequence so 60hz or whatever screens show smooth movement.

High resolution is very bad for games, maybe the worst thing, and causes downgrades. Not really the case with video though if connections need to be conserved, transfers reduced, then res can, not quality of video. High res low quality video is fucking stupid.

Upscaling could help. PS3 has sufficient hardware.
