>best movie in the series>it's rated as one of the worstevery single time
it's not a bad moviebut have you watched the other Bond movies?being like #18 out of 25 is not a bad thing when you're talking about Bond movies
>only good scene in an awful movie>but tasteless retards say it's the worst part of the movie
>>215090232what does L007< mean?
>>215090329it's the best one
>going blind>thought this was my Outlaw Star screenshot/post from another threadAAAAAAAAAA
>>215090232The underwater fights drag on for too long and are boring.
>>215090428leetspeak for loot, used in MMORPGs a lot.
>>215090232Also, you only live twice is the best movie in the series.
>>215090498>james bond murders 30 people in cold blood underwater>boring
>>215090509good choiceI'm a Living Daylights guy, but YOLT is objectively Bond at its peak. 1960s, Connery, Blofeld, volcano lair, tons of gadgets, ninja army, cameo by Shane Rimmer, great theme song. What more could you want?
>>215090611How about hot white girls
>>215090611>>215090509Fucking weaboos
Only bond film I've ever seen was goldfinger. Any recommends where to start from there for more bond?
>>215090498That quality of underwater video was new and expensive. They had to get their money's worth.
>>215090498they're not the best but they add rewatch value imo>>215090712Thunderball is kino
>>215090712Connery then Pierce era ,you can watch dalton if you like more action or moore if you like more comedy ,lazenby is weak and daniel craig casino royal is the only good bond he made.
>>215090712yeah just watch them all in order lol. none of them are wastes of time until the daniel craig sequels
>>215090781
>>215090803>>215090781highly recommend the new 4K which has the original audio mix
>>215090803>reads her name>turns the photo around to look again>*le sigh*
>>215090712how much did you like it?if you loved everything about it, watch the other Connery Bonds from the 60s. go ahead and start with Dr. No and go through them. Dr. No kinda shows its low budget, but it's quite impressive and holds up.maybe you didn't think it held up to its reputation and wanted more from itif you wanted a more down-to-earth spy story, do From Russia With Loveif you wanted more spectacular action and stunts, watch You Only Live Twice or The Spy Who Loved Meif you are more of a comedy fan than an action fan, watch Diamonds Are Forever or A View To A Kill
>>215090854I don’t get it
>>215090232>rated as one of the worstI consider it top 3 with goldfinger and goldeneye
>>215090781>they add rewatch valueNot sure exactly why slower scenes with a lot happening in them can be better than a simple (yet hard to photograph) action sequence. When I think of Thunderball or Dr. No, it's the subtle set-ups and payoffs that really stick out in memory. For instance when Bond waits behind the door in Dr. No, there's nothing quite like it. The best pre-title sequences are ones like From Russia With Love or Casino Royale. Thunderball's pre-title sequence is a fakeout because it's all action and the movie itself is a bit more understated than that would indicate. Even Goldfinger, the comedy, opens with an understated pre-title sequence where the director doesn't cut back to show the explosion he just set up, instead the story is Bond lighting a cigarette and intruding on some chick who double-crosses him. After Connery left, they began overdoing the intros.https://youtu.be/BMLfn511LJI?si=kSsYA8jgmNm8c_M2&t=272
>>215091103*without a lot
>>215091103Is that real?
>>215090911>I don’t get itI think it sets up one of the most basic character ironies for James Bond; he's a professional but he has a weakness for women; he's corporate but also a bit of an aesthete (the Craig era nullified this). It's better when they don't even need to underline this with dialogue because we can see it in quiet moments. The central irony of a spy who likes people but kills them for a living is really a fine line to walk, but the Connery and Moore eras emphasised that he was never the Terminator. The notion that he's playful and creative but also has a more obvious achilles heel than the cold-blooded antagonist makes the contrast more fun. At least I think that's what they were going for.

>>215090232the ending with the sped up camera was weird, but it is probably the best connery bond
