Not memeing, I watched this for the first time, I think this has the greatest practical special effects on film ever. It surpasses The Thing Carpenter remake. The more you watch the film, the more your mind is blown by Chucky's movements and facial expressions. And it is genuinely creepy. And one more thing, the movie takes itself very seriously. Chucky is comical with one liners, but other than that, it is a serious film. Very strange choice for a slasher movie
Dourif really sells it too. Hearing his furious yelling coming out of a doll is enough to make anybody jump.
The second film does it better.

First 3 films are amazing, with Chucky 2 being the best of them.The 5th one was super weird. 7 was pretty good. The Chucky show is absolute kino. The only one you need to avoid is when they made a modern reboot of the first movie. It was fucking shit
