The OA was canceled after the second season and desperately needs the FWWM+Return treatment but it's the closest thing I can think of all around. I'm watching Rectify right now. Without having finished it to know how it ends up, I will say it feels the closest of anything I've watched in the past few years.
I just started binging Dark (2017) and it's great so far. German netflix miniseries. 3 seasons, 8-10 episodes per season. Leans more sci-fi with less abstractions but has similar themes to both TD and TP and it all takes place in a small town with a large cast of characters. Hard to talk about without spoiling but it's very well made.
