He shouldn't be, it's an awful failure of a movie that completely misrepresents and does mayhem to Shakespeare's characters, plot and language. As usual, it has some directorial merit, but fails in the overall structure and execution because Welles was a narcissist that was incapable of recognising his own weaknesses. His performance is good, but not great. The middling product of a middling talent.
