Does anyone genuinely pretend this anymore? Maybe at the time his movies were being released people bought into the narrative that wow it's a whole new Bond for the future!!1! but now that it's all done and dusted I doubt anyone really still likes him, especially as even he is now distancing himself from it all.

C'mon bro, he was great in Casino Royale, even if you hate all the movies after (not without reason) you gotta give him that one. Lotta people still like him just cuz of how good CR was. Picrel could've been casted as and the movies after CR would've suck as well.
