What do you think of the 1972 film Cabaret?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SDuHXTG3uyYhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x_n4GK7PawQhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cabaret_(1972_film)
>>215096500>weimar was great because you could be a tranny degenerate fag and Hitler ruined it Actually Weimar sucked
>>215096500I saw it at my grandma's house a decade ago. I thought it sucked and could barely tolerate 20 minutes of it.Should I give it another try?
It's okay. But this scene is rather silly. People think they know and understand history, but they really don't. >>215096572Nazi Germany led to the utter destruction of Germany, Weimar was certainly better than this.
>>215096500It's excellent. Minnelli is hot af and great. Incredible direction by Bob Fosse. Joel Grey plays something slightly beyond human in the film.
>>215096598Try to make it at least to the "Tomorrow Belongs to Me" part. It is the only part outside of the cabaret's indoor setting that has music, interestingly.
>>215096645Berlin was a popular Weimar-era tourist destination to go fuck little boys. WWII happened because an entire generation saw a once proud nation become destitute and dominated financially and culturally by kiddy-fiddling yids and decided it was better to fight the entire fucking world than continue living through that
>>215096770It happened because Nazis came to power thanks to the Great Depression. The reasons were purely economic and political. Between Nazis coming to power and WW2 plenty of things happened, so it's not like they voted for them knowing they will start the war. And Berlin was one of the most anti-Nazi regions in Germany, so they clearly didn't have a problem with all this alleged degeneracy.
>>215096500Kino.Bob Fosse is a legitimately great director.
>>215096645You have to be 18 to post here.
>>215096572you didn't live in Weimar, all you have is propaganda that tells you how bad it was
>>215097102You're not allowed to do propaganda.
>Germany at the end of WeimarA financially crippled but still an intellectual paradise that punched above its weight in academia, culture and art>Germany at the end of the NazisA smoking ruinHuh that went well
