Why aren't C-Dramas popular in the west despite being better in every way than Korean and Japanese dramas and being free on youtube?

Problem with trying to recommend people to see a CDrama is they never fucking have release dates, they just get announced then 2 years later you get a trailer then ??? amount of time until they just get put out without any warning.
Harem shows I have mixed feelings on, because I always feel they are great for the first 2/3rds then drop off once they kill the primary villain and it becomes about wrapping up romance plotlines.
