Albeit that was nepotism in and out of universe despite how attractive she was (Shanks' wife out of universe, and General Landry's daughter in universe). At least Keller was part of Atlantis expedition as-is, even if you never really saw her, but she's explained as yes she was part of the expedition, and she did have those issues of being unsure she could live up to her predecessor.
