When that VHS first came out, it had a retail value of close to $100. Adjusted for inflation it would be around $300. If anything, it's lost value. Zoomies don't realize how expensive VHS and Betamax tapes were when they first came out. The prices didn't drop until the mid-90s and even then they were in the $20 - $30 range.
