I think this season would be much better received if it was 6 episodes instead of 8. I see a lot of complaining about the slow motion walking but the season is filled with TONS of that shit. Without the midseason lull I think the hype wouldn’t have built up to such a fevered pitch that made this finale seem deflationary. I liked Peacemaker’s arc but this season did drag quite a bit. I almost get the feeling someone higher up than James insisted it be 8 episodes which led to a ton of padding. The slow motion walking, the mid-season meandering, and the concert footage could all have been cut. If there really was an insistence on 8 episodes, then there needed to be some other subplot to take up the middle and end of the series (some minor villain perhaps) that could have tied everything together. Maybe, idk let’s use KGBeast, is running around in the midseason and ARGUS is having trouble catching him. After Checkmate is formed, then they are the ones shown capable of bringing him in. Afterwards we get the Peacemaker kidnapping and him being thrown into Salvation with KGBeast. The season ends with them realizing their stuck and beginning to fight, only to hear a monstrous roar, which causes them to snap into a defensive back to back formation as they rotate 360 degrees. Now the audience gets a sense of what to expect in salvation and villains are forced to team up for survival.
Some moments of this show are really retarded like in Episode 7 you have Economos staying at Peacemakers house knowing his family could return at any second
