Ewan did not give a fuck during this movie.
>>
>>215139965
He's been a smartass since shooting his mouth off about the prequels
>>
Great mobie, one of just a few I've bought on bluray over the last several years.
>>
>>215139965
Not a horrible movie but nothing prolific about it. Similar to Stephen King's writing since the mid 90s or so. Just okay.
>>
Shit movie.
>>
>>215140449
>but nothing prolific
shut up dumb pseud
>>
>>215140867
is prolific a difficult word? Jesus pick a book if you're impressed by that you faggot lmao
>>
>>215139965
The last act was like ready player one nostalgia bait but for horror
>>
>>215139965
it's a story about the kid from the shining, but it seemed really far removed from the material. weird vampires don't seem to belong in the shining, and yet you get all these member berries from the 1980 movie that don't integrate well. it's disorienting
>>
>>215140889
Prolific is the wrong fucking word, is the point. It makes zero sense in the context used here. Using a word you don't know the meaning of because you heard or saw other people using it and thought it sounded smart is the definition of psued you utter fucking imbecile how can you be so stupid?

I still think "Grown up Danny and his teenage sidekick fighting the gypsy vampire Manson Family" is a retarded premise for a Shining sequel.
>>
>>215141080
Its in the Stephen King verse. Penny wise canonically happend in the same verse as the shinning a decade before.
All Stephen kings books are connected in the same world.
>>
>>215140449
The book is even worse. It was like King was writing a different story, but decided to throw in Danny for some reason
>>
>>215141774
So the Maximum Overdrive thing happen to everyone?
>>
>>215142581
All Stephen King books take place in the same base universe, there are other universes which run parallel which are mostly the same except they head in a different direction.
For example the Stand and IT run in the same timeline originally but split at some point where the The Stand starts and goes. Anything that is mass in call world changing is set in a parallel universe. It's like a tree with the same trunk but a bunch of branches.

Some words have secondary meanings you dumb cunt. Perhaps if you read more you'd understand that. Un-fucking-believable the temerity of this faggot. You want to look up the definition of that too? lol stupid fucking nigger

You are the one who picked a confusing word with conflicting secondary meanings, why are you mad that your vague semantics were interpreted incorrectly when you are the one responsible for the incoherent term?

Too bad you weren't being prolific enough to anticipate what actually happened.

Or perhaps I'm so prolific I anticipated the entire ordeal and you fell right into my trap, you prolific faggot. (In both senses of the word)

Obviously I was being facetious. Did I use that correctly? I should probably check with you first, I don't want to cause anymore linguistic issues for you whilst casually criticizing mediocre films.

No, you clearly didn't mean facetious, you meant to say retarded.

Mmk bud. Maybe I could've chosen a more precise descriptive anon but you could also not have been such a fucking cunt about the whole thing lol
>>

Maybe, but you would not have learned a prolific lesson about imprecise language that way.
>>
>>215141080
I don't mind the vampires but at the later half it just stops being about that and just becomes a homage to Kubrick's movie. Trying to ape as much as possible
>>

It becomes a ghost story set in a ghost hotel in the stephen king universe with a bunch of dead people from past stories whose souls were consumed by the magical ghost hotel from the shining.

Perhaps perhaps...but the great irony is that while not as meticulous as I could or should have been, technically my choice of words wasn't incorrect. I hope you also learned a prolific and valuable lesson about the nuances of language and secondary meanings in prose here today friend.
>>
>>215143860
No I only learned that you are fine with your imprecision and that is why you got called a pseud because it was neither technically correct nor incorrect, you just wanted to show how valid your opinion is by using unnecessarily convoluted words that don't really communicate anything of value.

I am not fine with imprecision. I've already conceded that while technically correct, it was a confusing choice I should've put more thought into. You however persist in your ambitions to act like a pedantic faggot and I must say you've been devastatingly successful at it.
>>
>>215139965
it's a garbage flick so can't blame him
>>
>>215143999

No, you only conceded that you were technically not incorrect, so I guess the lesson about imprecision in language hasn't totally set in yet.

Point being your initial assertion that I used the word incorrectly missed the mark. I tried to extend an olive branch by conceding I see your point that my choice of words was easy to misinterpret but you will yield no ground at all. In fact you quite pompously claim to have been doing me a favor. I extended my hand and you ask me to bend over and grab my ankles. I will not be fucked sir.
>>
>>215144162
>your initial assertion that I used the word incorrectly
That wasn't the initial assertion, the assertion was that you are a pseud because its not the right word to use in this context, its just a $2 word you used because you thought it made you sound smart and validate your opinion.
You are already fucked because you are still a pseud who will go to retarded lengths to defend your pseudishness.
>>
>>215144213
I made no claims to being an intellectual. I casually derided a movie on the internet, writing one single sentence and you decided to be needlessly pedantic about it over a period of several hours lol. That's about the long and short of it in my view.
>>
>>215139965
Rebecca creeped the hell out of me in her role
I am kind of in love with her, but there she was pure evil
Good movie, very underrated
>>
>>215144336
>I made no claims to being an intellectual.
Except when you couldn't accept being a pseud so you tried to defend using imprecise language that for several hours as if you were some kind of authority.
>needlessly
No, you already admitted it was warranted and you sort of learned a lesson about imprecision in language.
>>
>>215144399
>pure evil
No she was pretty nice to all her vampire buddies, but vampires gotta eat.
>>
>>215144429
You sat in waiting like some kind of semantic predator and lashed out after one fairly benign criticism of Stephen King. Only for it to turn out your lazy rebuke wasn't even technically correct and you had to pivot from "you picked the wrong word" to "it's not my fault you were too vague" lol

>you already admitted it was warranted
I tried to argue in good faith and see your side but you're determined to be an abrasive cunt unfortunately.
>>
>>215144527
It was her food are you evil just because you use a fork to stab your caloric victims even though you are pretty nice to your peers?
>>
>>215144569
>benign criticism
I didn't even pick up on that because of the poor word choice, it seemed more like a vibe check than an actual criticism.

>I tried to argue in good faith
So now that you have reverted back to arguing in bad faith, you take back your admission that it was warranted to call out your word choice?
>>
>>215144581
you are so wrong on so many levels
this is not about eating/survival, we all know about it
this is about inflicting pain and taking pleasure from it - that is pure evil
>>
>>215144776
this is about inflicting pain and taking pleasure from it
She didn't do that to her vampire peers though, she only did it to their food.
>>
>>215144788
Kosher and halal are specifically about minimizing suffering during slaughter, though.
>>
>>215144914
I don't know and don't want to know what your moral compass is, but I know it is wrong
I never went hunting, but I went fishing with my grandpa, great times
Took the fish off the hook, gutted it and grilled it
That's it

as far as I know he's been banging every female costar
>>
Pretty good movie until the final act when they decide that they need to recreate EVERY iconic scene from The Shining and it completely goes to shit.
>>
>>215144936
You have obviously done neither and don't know what you are talking about, but the intention behind the halal and kosher is specifically to reduce suffering, not to be extra malicious for the lulz.
>>
>>215145198
Not necessarily and bolt guns didn't exist when halal and kosher slaughter were devised.
>>
>>215145186
He smashed Nicole Kidman while filming some movie so I wouldn't be surprised if he also tried with Margot and Natalie
Allegedly he's the kind of guy who always makes you laugh and you know what comes after that
>>
>>215139965
Doctor Sleep has black ppl worship with the little girl, the way she was written in relation to other characters, to Ewan. She kept correcting him, demonstrating how she was more powerful, that kinda crap. like a little black Rey. and the movie wasn't all that good. it isn't fitting or convincing as a sequel to the Shining, especially not with the black worship
>>
>>215145436

For me, the most suspension-breaking part of Doctor Sleep was when the ghost hotel possesses Ewan and attacks the girl, but doesn't call her a nigger or even allude to anything racist. Soulless nostalgiabaiting.
>>
>>215144581
The subject in question is literally canonically evil because they go above and beyond the hypothetical you are posing. Their souls are torn apart by the acts they engage in for immortality. They are no longer human. You are retarded.
>>
What was with all the RWBY references in this movie? Is the director a fan?
>>

>>
>>215143277
It's still about quantity. You're a dum-dum
>>
>>215139965
Wait there are people who still think the use of "prolific" was anything other than nonsense? It's an adjective, and psuedfag put it where adjectives go. Other than that, total nonsense.

Yeah I know he does this shit in his books, doesn't make it not cringy as all fuck.

>>
>>215147582
He's a Bongistani, they don't have many good actors and they have a very limited pool, so they just keep casting the same ones over and over. Tbh what else are you going to do?
>>
>>215147605
She always wants to be wearing that hat.
