>>215141646Yeah, it was pretty empty and shallow.
>>215141646I will agree with your retarded opinion only because i felt robbed by that ending.
>>215144782Why not both? Yojimbo was kino for this.
>>215141579*holds up sword* xD
>>215145502But it works on its own. All of his sins congregate under a single roof and after being shaken that he might not be the most skilled swordsman "on the block" he tries to distract himself only to be ambushed. Him fighting with shadows projected by his consciousness only for them to turn into real threats that came as final judgment on him might as well be the movie. And yes, I know there is much more to the story but still. The freeze frame of his almost demonic face as he is locked in an uneven fight works very well.
>>215144782I love both
>>215141579It’s a crime they didn’t complete the trilogy
>>215145555Checked.
>>215145759That is the equivalent of ending Macbeth as the Doncaster woods or whatever marches towards the castle as the crones predicted and never actually showing him meeting his fate. It's wanting to have your anti-hero cake and not wanting to see him die as well. You robbed a good story of a bittersweet but satisfying end and you robbed yourself as well.
>>215141579does japan even make anything that's not sword slop?
>>215148086Occasionally.
>>215141725underrated
>>215148086Maybe once or twice in the past 20 years. Does Korea ever create anything that isn't extremely gay?
>>215147390>It's wanting to have your anti-hero cake and not wanting to see him die as wellWhat makes you remotely see this as some sort of biting contradiction? Or that Macbeth comparison a sound analogy? His entire being is about how good he is, and at the moment when he is given reason to even remotely doubt his skill, he is faced with the most perilous fight of his life. If you take it as a standalone narrative (and you have no choice in that matter), he is not making it out of there. You don't need a fucking Walter White zoom out of his body to surmise that he is dead.
>>215145555Cannot be refuted
>>215148282This is pretty intense, reminds me a lot of Clint and Van Cleef circling each other
>>215142317It just felt hollow in a very human sense.
>>215149074now is not the time to dab, sensei
