>>215155164Only the first three films are canon.The obvious proof of which is, John Rambo's character in the original trilogy is quiet, soft-spoken, almost shy & unassuming.That is until he gets out into the field with a weapon in his hand facing down enemies, that exact moment he switches into the merciless killing machine with a high level body count that audiences know & continually rewatch, as they have for decades.The John Rambo in film 4 (& let's not even talk about Last Blood) is a mean spirited asshole without depth, unlike how Stallone played him in the earlier films.Nor can gore alone save Rambo 4.Also, the side characters in 4 are terrible, TV style/B-grade extras at best.Lastly, Rambo 3 is kino & a better film than anyone gives it credit for.Particularly after Rambo breaks Colonel Trautman out of the desert prison camp, which is really the point where the movie kicks into high gear.Every other Rambo flick after the original trilogy is forgettable.
