Why do you guys subject yourself to watching this? Are you people sick?

You should all be watching a normal, wholesome TLC show like "I Am Jazz" instead.

I'm 320 at 6'1" and it fucking sucks. There's a lot of levels of gaining weight:

Lv1. Just don't look good without a shirt on (most normies who think they are "fat")
Lv2. Obviously fat in clothes, need X__ clothes
Lv3. Noticeable trouble with physical activities, can't run or jump unless your life depends on it
Lv4. Medical issues start, blood pressure, slight arthritis, can injure myself greatly if I fall
Lv5. Can't fit into off the shelf clothes
Lv6. Can't fit into chairs, need accommodations to travel (I am here)
Lv7. Severe medical problems that snowball
Lv8. Legit physically disabled and need help doing basic stuff
Lv9. Can't clean yourself, go to the bathroom without help, completely disabled
Lv10. Death or My 600+ life

good news is I'm on ozempic now and looking forward to not worrying about chairs and travel anymore

Thing I don't understand is that you just have to eat less for a few days and your stomach adjusts. I've legit fasted for days and it took me a couple of weeks to get back to a normal, healthy diet with sensible portions. Done this many times. Consider also that you're on a board about tv and actors who do this for a living in many cases. There's no withdrawal from food really, you just feel a little hungry for a while, and that goes away. Don't get it man

Drugs and alcohol on the other hand I can understand. Gambling not so much, but i get the concept at least. But food?

I dunno man I just suck at having the willpower. I'm also an alcoholic so that doesn't help. I also was born in a family of fatties. I have lost weight and been skinny fat before but I just backslide really hard. Like losing 40lbs than gaining 100. I like to think I simply have too much of a love for indulgence like orson welles
>>
>>215183822
I've also struggled with weight and have lost 25+ kg with fasting. It's doable. If I managed to do it, so could he. I treated myself to a 1k calories meal a day of the tastiest things i could imagine, and that was all i ate. Did that for months, in combo with daily bike rides.
>>
>>215184090
If anyone's interest in doing the same, I found that the key to keeping it up was to make it a habit. Absolutely no exceptions; those just weaken your resolve. You have to get used to the new state of things: No matter what you're not going above the calorie limit. Also, while you're fasting, don't make your own food. There's too much temptation of making too much and cheating. Too much focus on food too. You want eating to be over quickly each day. I usually just had a burger meal, deal.
>>
>>215184090
>>215184038
Best things you can do:
- keto, because you can eat delicious things and feel full and still lose weight due to caloric deficit
- NO beverages with calories; water only
- no snacks
- ideally OMAD, for the same reason as keto

You need to be a much bigger snob about what you eat and drink. Ironically developing a huge superiority complex will help you make tough choices and resist your base urges.

just taper and keep some emergency beer or wine around if you feel bad. you'll know when you need a little sip. also naltrexone really helps but you have to actually take it daily and in my case i would just not take it because i wanted to get drunk. should have got the injection that lasts for over a week at a time
>>
>>215184303
What is hard liquor, as in vodka or similar? 40% ABV type things? I can hardly drink that stuff at all so maybe I overestimated, but my tolerance is probably a lot lower than yours. I stick to low calorie hard seltzer lol

How long should I taper realistically? I feel like I'm just getting deeper into it by doing that, even though I know it's necessary. Chat GPT says 4 weeks

My emergency wine usually disappears
>>
>>215184572
dude i'm honestly not an expert but any progress is good. even if you just drink less that's a start.

>>215184604
I looked it up and you're consuming about 2/3 of a fifth of vodka (750 ml) daily, is that correct?
>>
>>215184747
I think it's more like 300-400 now that I think about it. a fifth lasts me usually 2 days
>>
>>215182579
Ozempic is certainly dangerous, like every medicine.
But medicine is taken because the side effects aren't as bad as the disease it treats.
If you take a little bit of ozempic as a treat it will be better than a lot of obesity.

>>215184225
I might be a naturally skinny person, but I definitely have behavioral advantages where I'm extremely stingy with money so I refuse to order food and thus must cook all my own food.
So if I want to eat I have to put in the effort to make my fucking food and I fucking hate cooking but I hate spending money more so I hate eating.
Anyway, fat people should just do what I do and then they'll be as happy as me.

LOOSE A THOUSAND POUND IN 1 WEEK OR ELSE!
>>
>>215184572
>How long should I taper realistically?
I've tapered a few times and it took 3-4 weeks, yeah. It's very difficult to do, especially with higher proof alc, so I'd suggest using strong beer, not wine or hard liquor to do it. Decrease by one drink a day, or every other day, until you're down to 1/2/3, then try to stop cold. If you fuck up and drink too many beers one day, just try to get right back on track the next day. This works and is much better than cold turkey.

Well one drink a day would take me less than a week. I'm not slamming vodka like the gentleman above, but my tolerance is lower and I can feel it pretty strongly if I skip a day. One individual drink makes a big difference, maybe I should buy smaller drinks or something, but most things seem to be 12 oz
>>
>>215185068
>Well one drink a day would take me less than a week.
Oh, that's not much. In my case it was around 12 drinks a day, sometimes more. If you're more like at 6-8 a day, it should be easy to taper with high alcohol beer or regular beer. It's hard to drink less and less wine/liquor a day though if you're legit addicted.
>>
>>215185105
Guess it depends on if we're talking about a "drink" as in the vague unit they use for health purposes or a drink as in a single beer. I've never tapered alcohol but I have tapered benzodiazepines and that was hell. I'm hoping alcohol is just mot as protracted.

My main problem with it is that when I'm faced with truly stressful life situations, it sneaks up on me, and nowadays I basically go from light buzz to smashed within the span of one additional drink, so I have to watch it carefully. Bad combination especially when dealing with real life bullshit. I get the shakes and horrifying anxiety if I don't have a beer by 5 which isn't too fun when combined with a high stress job and various personal things going on

Thanks for the tips I will give it a shot

Like we were watching that one scene where the chick tries to ride through the front door of the grocery store in the motorized cart and gets stuck.

She had to waddle in sideways first, so a producer HAD to have told her "Hey try to drive out so we can get this shot of you getting stuck" or she was really that stupid

Both scenarios were really funny to me so I giggled when it happened and my co-worker was like
>*gasp* Anon you're such a dick!
Yes, she's woman :(
>>
>>215185194
>I've never tapered alcohol but I have tapered benzodiazepines and that was hell. I'm hoping alcohol is just mot as protracted.
The body deals with alcohol much faster than other drugs because people are more accustomed to it from drinking for millennia. Should be much shorter/less trouble than with benzos. If you tapered those before, you got very little to worry about.
