you now miss quirky heterosexual white people love story movies that have since gone extinct
Only one of these is a good movie
>>215199402This.
Greta gerwig solely killed this genre, good riddance

>>215199353>>215199480I take great joy in the fact that this pretentious era is effectively dead. Trust fund kids jerking each other off ad nauseam
>>215199460John green as well
>>215199571It's okay, you get niggerslop instead.
>>215199571Every single criticism anyone has ever had of "early Obamacore" is factually accurate, yet I look back on it fondly
All the hipsters became trannies
>>215199353all those films suck unfortunately. I do not bemoan their demise
>>215199353At least two of those are about how life isn't like Garden State and a quirky gf won't save you from yourself.
>>215199353Not really. I do miss high budget adventure movies like the cinematographic masterpiece the Mummy starring Brandan Frasier and Rachel Weiss though. I also miss B high fantasy movies like Conan and the Beastmaster and author movies with distinctive cinematographic styles, oh and noir too; I miss noir and actual cyberpunk.I also miss family movies, you know, stuff like Jumanji, Hook, Labyrinth, that kind of stuff. Sometimes i kind of feel like cinema in general is gone, i mean, i know it´s not and i know authors keep filming even though they don´t have the advertising budgets Hollywood has so one only finds out if one is purposely looking...Honestly romantic comedies were never all that high on my list so their absence doesn´t really hit that hard but i guess i do understand what you mean.

>>215199353>Cera>Dennings>Gordon-Levitt>Kazan>white
>>215200243>Jared LetoDOA. I´d rather put my faith on Cavill´s Highlander, and believe me, i´m not thrilled about that idea either.
>>215199480These movies feel me with bitterness because I remember the complacent optimism they inspired in me at a time in life when I needed to be ruthless and terrified
>>215199460>>215199718How did they kill the genre?
>>215201265fill* lol
>>215201265>at a time in life when I needed to be ruthless and terrifiedNot being a smug prick. I genuinely want to know how being ruthless a terrified would have improved that stage of your life?
>>215199353these still exist
>>215201316I would have understood the stakes. I might have tried to save myself
>>215201280diverted the aesthetic from hipster wanderlust to feminist/tranny themes. The original films of this genre didn’t have to pander to tumblr to sell
