Apparently Katey Sagal was really cold, Billy Zane was super nice but seemed to be angling for autograph money a little too hard, and Tom Savini was glowering the whole time and wouldn't answer people directly talking to him, just a blank stare. Savini's handler was getting embarrassed trying to smooth things over.

The former is why we have the nun and the latter is why we have babadook. ive been watching horror this month froma lot of different times int he last century and the overaching feeling i get is that theres a sort of catharsis to fear and i think Art the Clown serves this function quite well. his violence is unsettling and unpleasant but he does it with enough joy that we can giggle at it and throw our popcorn at the screen. we can shout "look behind you!" and yeep! in glee when the characters fail, but we also get the reversal of fortunes with the final girl, where we switch beck from rooting for the killer and root for the victim, the tension giving us the payoff of escape. Art is a jester, and he does his job well.

Finished watching the V/H/S movie series, they were quite good. Stand out segments: Baphomet cult, Cyborgs, the two-part about the cursed lake, Dante the magician.So yeah, I want more highly violent found footage kinos, not necessarly anthology format.

Holy Kino. you can just tell the cast and crew were having a blast. theres some silly and fun shots, a lot of play with light, some absolutely brutal kills, an exciting final girl sequence, its practically a fanservice episode of slashers. easily recommend.

I was watching "X" last night with my girlfriend and after the "cuck scene" she made a point about how the boyfriend is a total hypocrite prude who is somehow fine with making porn movies because it's just acting but when his girlfriend wanted to do it he acts like it's something different. I mean it kinda makes sense, why was this such a big deal in this movie, my gf literally laughed when they showed the boyfriend acting like it's the end of the world, only few people would see that tape anyway beacuse it's the before internet era.
