I am going to be cautiously optimistic. Based on what the trailer showed it seems to be staying true to the graphic novel/comic version of the story which was pretty good. Plus I only see 1 minority character (love interest) and the rest seem to be Europeans.

On the other hand, you could just read the novellas instead. I feel like Gurm probably wishes he'd made Westeroes more of an anthology with a bunch of novellas from different eras. He was always more of a short story guy before A Game of Thrones exploded in popularity.

It's unlike the other Westeros stores. It's low stakes but very heartwarming about 2 unlikely heroes setting off and doing right. Dunk is fucking based and Egg is the best squire and companion anyone could have. The only problem is that there's only 3 stories to adapt from: The Hedge Knight, The Sworn Sword, and The Mystery Knight. If they pad it out with original content, I'm very wary.

Well tbf Martin started strong in GOT and in HOTD so this one will probably start off strong too. Then Martin will get distracted by something else and pass this off to some other writers just like he did with those. I'm going to guess a solid 3 episodes and then a meh rest of the season with a giant turd of a trailer for season 2 as the finale.
