The public reaction to this scene proves media literacy is actually literally dead
>>
I do not like mr. Frog. He’s problematic + toxic. Frog Dad is right to hate him.
>>
I can't even imagine trying to find out what some normalfag would think about a scene from a cartoon. I don't even know where you would find that.

This. What "public reaction"? Your Discord buddies?

What is there to fucking react to? Qrd?

Ive loved almost every episode up till now but this one was kinda weak because the dad segment and the fly with the computer problem combined took up like half the episode and werent really good enough to justify their length. I know, its funny that its creed, i understand the movies and scenes its referencing and why its included in the story, additionally it serves as contrast to the quiet that leads into the nirvana moment, i get it, it just wasnt that entertaining.

the whole episode was basically just a mediocre version of Zima Blue. I guess the Ending montage, marc m busting out the mexican voice to request to be cucked by mr frog, and the ufc stuff were funny, but the other half of the ep was a snoozer

Rick and Mortyfags are taking this scene at face value unironically calling it deep and proclaiming it an example of "post-ironic sincerity"

>Generic dramatic scene where the joke is weird cartoons in a serious scene and that Mr. Frog's dad is played by a live actor goes on for way too long
>Retards actually think it was sincere
Rick and Morty really ruined the Adult Swim audience forever, huh?
>>
it was so random xD

Whether it was sincere or not doesnt matter
It just wasnt funny or entertaining

Cartoons are the last bulwark against total third worldification of culture, a canary in the coal mine if you will, warning of the literary apocalypse. When cartoons fall everything will fall.
>>
Lol are you butt mad about this or something?

Media literacy is a useless skill to have. It's barely a step above trivia.
>>
>>215261411
You say that but in the past five decades only Smiling Friends and a handful of shows arent made in a korean sweat shop.
>>
>>215258967
terrible episode
why are they acting like mr frog was some storied character? he was the main focus of one episode, and more of a side character in another.
if smiling friends had 10 seasons and he had been the main focus of one every season and then they did this to say goodbye, it might have worked, as it is it wasn't earned and was just unfunny cringe bullshit - whether they were being sincere or not.
