so what we learned is that this type of construction would have been safe if:
A. it was made better in a dust free environment
B. the carbon tube would have been replaced after 5 or 6 dives.

Yes! When you hear the cracking sound, use a one-inch punch to breach the walls and equalize the pressure. Then kick out the window in the front and apnea-float to the surface.

Why was a search even made? If they were still alive but at the bottom of the ocean, how would they even have been rescued?
>>
>>215259153
Rush knew the submarine was failing, and had been informed of its compromised status. He willfully ignored it. He chose to dive in it himself. He'd place all his gay techbro status and financial success on this dumbass deepsea obsession, itself born from his failure to beat Elon Musk to being the techbro king of outer space. He essentially committed suicide. He would've rather killed himself (and a bunch of other totally innocent people at the same time) than back down. By the time the submarine failed, he'd spent so many years proclaiming its success he could not back down without seeming like a lifelong fuck up loser.

Imagine being that paki millionaire that was on the sub when it imploded. Imagine having no clue about how faulty the sub was until you were inside it descending, and the entire trip down you're just hearing the hull crack and snap more and more. Raising your concern but the oceangate owner just keeps telling you everythings fine.
>>
>>215263200
>imagine being that stupid
sorry, i can't
>>
>>215263317
Going on a submarine isnt inherently stupid though, a well designed one works just fine. At that time it would have been impossible to know how shit the sub was unless you were in the company. That paki had no clue, all he knew was there was a company offering submarine tours to the titanic. Can imagine he was shitting bricks as they descended and you can hear the fucking sub disintegrating.

Thats sorta true, but also there were various test dives before the big ones. There was a youtuber on the trip. In his video, he goes on a test dive and its clear what a cobbled up mess the operation was. Rush didnt even confidently know the hand signals from an assist diver. That alone would have me never getting in that death trap again. Also, one of History channel hosts was going to use the sub for a show, and they completely noped out after a test dive.

The Pakistani guy was born into privilege. He probably had a distorted sense of reality because he lived his life in a bubble. It's mostly wealthy people that do dangerous shit in their free time. They've never worked with their hands or been in dangerous situations, so they lack perspective. It's the equivalent of a domesticated animal being released into the wild and just sitting in one place unaware of the dangers surrounding it.
