Is every King of the Hill episode basically

>Strawman comes onto the show
>Hank is a good boy, he dindu nuffin - he just wanted to mow his lawn. He was getting his propane career back on track!
>Strawman is defeated in some way by Hank's old fashioned ways

Or am I missing something?

Most episodes?

I stunt know why Bill didn't just cut hanks hair at his house.

He says the army paid 3m to train him and he's only allowed to cut hair on base.

except for the ones where Hank is the out of touch strawman and Bobby/Peggy has to teach him a lesson about dog dancing or being friends with drag queens or whatever
>>
No. Sometimes the strawman proves a point and Hank acknowledges the need for change or at least meeting something half way. But there's still episodes like
>just ignore john redcorn fucking your friend's wife it'd ruin him!
Or hank constantly enabling shitheads like Buck, his dad, Kahn or just about anyone when they probably should be punished. The about only thing Hank is right on through the show is with Bobby. He forceful and forgiving when he needs to be.

>hank shaves his head and grows a goatee
>gets a swastika tattoo on his chest so he can pull down his shirt and tell people "see this? that means not fucking welcome!"

you made this thread 135 times now so I don't think you should be complaining about something being repetitive

The show struck a good balance of both those things, never really being too preachy either way except for a few episodes post 9-11.

Didn't really matter since the show was above everything else, funny. Most of the time.

But then you also had the later seasons where there's always some wacky quirky chungus B story like when Dale just had a keyboard in the alley or Principal Moss does something silly or one of those wacky side character from Peggy's job at the newspaper.

The John redcorn affair was a big mistake. I get the joke, Dale was a conspiracy theorist and the biggest conspiracy was right under his nose the whole time. The audience didn't like it so the writers bankpeddled it after season 1.

i thought making everyone an accomplice to Nancy's infidelity was more interesting and in line with the kind of 'small town' storyline that permeated the show, Arlen isn't like some 50 person 1 horse town or anything but it's not a city like Austin or Houston, so you have to imagine everyone on that side of town who knew Nancy or John was also a participant in the deception.

the King of the Hill revival we deserved but never got

The lesson was that Peggy shouldn’t be uncomfortable with her body/style… ironically taught by people who now say they’re irrevocably uncomfortable with their bodies/styles….it’s quite odd.
>>
>>215263595
Not really.
Sometimes Hank is right, sometimes he's wrong.
It's more about him finding value in new things.
>he's right about the canadians
>he was wrong about roses but eventually understood the value in how it's a different kind of competition.
>>
>>215263595
No, about half the episodes involve Hank being exposed to progressive ideas and then coming around to them.

There are also idiot ball episodes concerning Peggy and Dale. And childhood drama episodes with Bobby.
>>
>>215265896
That only happened once in the Alamo episode
>>
Hank Hill strongly prefers the company of white people.

It’s so weird how mainstream 90s media portrayed on screen drag queens as wholesome practically sexless shriners-club-isk weekend hobbyists that you would be perfectly fine living your kids with as you would some church ladies.
When if you ever met them in person off stage they were adjacent to homeless drug addicts, who would be just as lie,yl to try to blow your kids as ask your kids to blow them
>>
>>215266239
I think most people’s exposure to them was at campy San Fran bullshit. Drag queens were camp but trannies were homeless prostitutes
>>
>>215263595
Im rewatching the show and i just got done with season 2. Its just as good as it was back then, but one thing id like to know is did hank lowkey blow up megalow mart?
>>215263892
Agreed. I only watched the first episode of this shitty reboot and i could tell the rest of it wasnt worth watching at all. Just another good show that (((hollywood))) brought back just to shit all over it.
>>215266040
And theres absolutely nothing wrong with that.
