The stupidest scene in Breaking Bad. The guy decides to start cooking for no apparent reason. Smug, pompous Gus with a box cutter.
>>215269370>The guy decides to start cooking for no apparent reason. They were at a stage in the cook where something needed to be done or the batch would be ruined, walt himself pointed this out to him.>Smug, pompous Gus with a box cutter.Had to kill him because he had been seen, did it in a gruesome way to vent his anger, intimidate walt/jessee and possibly punish him for cooking without first asking gus' permission
>>215269615I thought he was punishing him for failing to save Gail
>>215269370>The guy decides to start cooking for no apparent reasonhe knew he fucked up by showing his face at the scene so he badly needed to become useful
The reveal that the stuff in the pool that had been foreshadowed for all of season 2 was the result of Jesse’s girlfriend’s dad Q being an air traffic controller and making two planes collide over Walter White’s house is far and away the stupidest thing in Breaking Bad
>>215269370this is tame for a drug lord who’s subordinate is making power moves.
>>215269869I'm going to explain this to you retards one more time, so I hopefully don't see any more "I don't get it?" and "Why did Gus kill him?" threads about a NOT CONFUSING scene that happened over a decade ago.No, Gus didn't slice Victor's throat in front of Walt because "He got seen by some peeps over by Gale's crib, yo". It was a simple case of doing what he had to do to be able to keep Walt as his cook. The dilemma for Walt was that being expendable due to Gale learning how to cook the blue stuff, while simultaneously falling out of favor with Gus (primarily due to Jesse and his bullshit), made Walt develop a severe case of (highly warranted as it turns out) paranoia about being killed, and he went into "I have to kill these people or be killed by them" mode. That's obvious from everything said and shown- you know, little stuff like Mike taking him to the lab under false pretenses and preparing to kill him and even telling him he fucked up and was about to die, and that's what would have happened except Walt, always with a plan-B in his back pocket, made a call to Jesse and SUDDENLY REMOVED GALE FROM THE EQUATION, THUS MAKING HIMSELF NON-EXPENDABLE AGAIN.
>>215269964Theres a lot of dumb cartoony stuff in the show that doesnt get enough flak. It moght take another 10 years for normies to catch on since tv stagnated. The first scene where Hank visits the high school science lab is unbelievable. The epic non-verbal twin badasses, the mexican song opening. It’s a liveaction cartoon for adults.
>>215270202At that point Gus would have been forced to concede that Walt was indeed critical to the operation, and while surely pissed about losing his boy Gale, would have been prudent as ever and allowed Walt to live and continue to be his cook. That's what should have happened except idiot Victor, by telling Gus IN FRONT OF WALT, that Walt was still expendable despite Gale being dead, reactivated Walt's dilemma and the murderous impulses that should have been sated with the elimination of Gale. The idiot made himself another Gale in that moment and Gus had to either listen to Victor and trust him to be his meth cook from that point on and go ahead and kill Walt OR Gus had to remedy Walt's dilemma and KILL GALE NUMBER 2. Gus made a hasty decision and decided to keep Walt on as his cook and so Gale Jr had to go bye bye and Walt had to see it and know it was real too. You get it now?
>>215269848Its a bunch of things. Walt/Jesse evading and outwitting two “hardened” hitmen lackeys and killing the one chemist on the planet skilled and loyal enough to Fring. Then one of the “badass” hitmen gets ID’d at a crime scene where he steps over and touches the corpse of the guy he was meant to protect. Then starts fucking around in the lab because he memorized a formula to a small degree, with zero experience or knowledge of chemistry outside of the school he dropped out of. Mike at least has the benefit of knowing his place and being former military, Victor was just some spic who Gus could replace and did too many big mistakes in such a short period of time.
>>215269964Why is that stupid? It was a wild and unexpected twist.
>>215270357>The first scene where Hank visits the high school science lab is unbelievableWhat was wrong with it again? But yeah I really wish they'd gone for realism instead of cartoonish nonsense it could have been a 10/10 show
>>215270357>It’s a liveaction cartoon for adults. Why is that a bad thing? Breaking Bad is a fun show to watch, one of the most fun shows in television history honestly. You fags who bitch about muh realism are such retards. It's a tv show. It's not real. If you want realistic, watch a fucking documentary.
>>215270497Except this put the fear into walt and made him decide once and for all he needed a way out
>>215270941https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vgZiX7KQ39wWalt spills so much spaghetti its hard to believe he didnt get caught in S1. >>215270950It’s known for having the best writing in tv history and it’s a valid complaint that the writing is sometimes unbelievable and retarded. You have superheroes like the cartel running around and a man villain launders money with a chicken restaurant. Also goofy shit like the giant magnet and remote machine gun.
>>215269370They also already did this curveball at the start with tuco and his henchman, so it wasn't shocking except for like 'they really thought this would surprise people after they opened the series with it??' NEVER get into vinceshit
>>215269370Guy on the right can't act. Was dog shit in Dark Winds.
>>215269615>he was seen showing up after a crime occurred then leaving! >he tried to salvage a lost batch!>we gotta kill him!lol what? did reddit write this show?
>>215271338What the fuck does that even mean? What's "reddit" here? Fucking retarded incel.
>>215271175It's such a shitty cliche. Board of Empires abused it too, there are at least 3 of these scenes.
>>215269848Gale.Gail is a woman's name.
>>215271371>What's "reddit"All your posts itt. I can literally detect your posts by how gay they are.
>>215270357Sorry you got filtered, dumbass.
>>215271149Yeah true he really had him here, I think Vince put in the connection of the mask to Walt way too early.I'm guessing it's because they didn't know how many seasons they'd have, or even if the pilot would be picked up so they left that thread dangling and it turned out to be a real flaw to the narrative. Hank should have been onto Walt by episode 2 not season 5.
>>215271149Why are the magnet or machine gun "goofy"? I believed all of it. I know guys who think and build shit like Walt did. There's no reason any of that couldn't work. What cartel superheroes? What does that mean?It was a great show, anon. Sorry you think it's overrated.
>>215271227He was a great extra on Bosch.Skinny Pete on The Blacklist was weird though.
>>215271404>literally detectSo you're a braindead zoomer. Put your phone away and go to bed. Stop calling things 'reddit'. You're trying way too hard.
