I don't know if it's still behind a paywall, but when Maddox was on "YOUR WELCOME" and he tried to argue that the "broken window fallacy" was false.
Maddox argued that if the window was replaced with a better window that insulated heat better, then it was good to break it.
Malice then argued that it wasn't better because the old window could have been removed and sold. Maddox balked at the idea of selling an old window. Malice had the producer check craigslist for used windows being sold, and found some listings.
Malice rubbed it in Maddox's face hard.

All his arguments crumbled into dust when it turned out he was a pale sickly looking Armenian man.

I've been listening through The Biggest Problem recently for the first time. I'm up to around episode 20 or so and Maddox is getting absolutely fucking intolerable. He'll rile up Dick like crazy but instantly crumble the moment he gets it given back to him. He comes across as a complete snivelling pseudo-intellectual.

I enjoyed the site 20 years ago like everyone else, but knowing that he wasn't putting on a bit and actually was that egotistical in real life makes his downfall easily understandable.

the biggest problem in the universe is probably one of the best podcasts ever and it's not because of maddox, it's in spite of maddox. they had a hilarious dynamic because one of them is a dumb person pretending to be smart and the other is a smart person pretending to be dumb, and they can't stop screaming at each other. at some point you realize that maddox isn't playing a character and gets so mad at "losing" to dick's problems each week that he starts sincerely griping about things like world hunger, female genital mutilation and anti vaxxers while dick is complaining about synthetic grass or burnt popcorn.

What the fuck? The whole appeal of maddox's comedy is that hes a bald, tubby loser with an annoying voice who talks about how cool and smart he is, thats hilarious. Especially early on before he lost the awareness that him being a loser irl made him funnier. He talks just like he writes, which makes him hilarious in podcast form, or used to.
