>>215312676It's close but The Shining is far less cheesy. If you compare it against Kubrick's adaptation it comes off pretty bad but as far as the 90s TV miniseries era goes it's a more interesting watch than The Langoliers.

>>215312728You're forgetting It, Storm of the Century, Golden Years, the first 2 Salem's Lot adaptations, The Tommy Knockers, Needful Things, and a few more probably. I think Rose Red is slightly better than The Shining. It works well as a Shirley Jackson homage.

I was always disappointed that The Breathing Method from Different Seasons never got adapted when the other 3 stories all got good to great ones. The weird gentleman's club it takes place in is one of my favorite things out of his stories.
