I went to a Catholic mass for the first time since I was a child a few months ago and the congregation was so old I swear I'm not joking someone had a heart attack half way through. And it was at that point I realised genuinely religious people are a dying breed, most religious people now are terminally online and seem to use religion to fit their worldview rather than the other way around. I don't know what denomination I am, I'm at a stage where I'm just reading and praying and hoping God will show me the way maybe when I'm older.

>>215341273From my experience, there are 2 types of Catholic Churches today:The first is a poor person's Church that you'll find in any downtown/hood area of a city or out in the middle of the country in Nowhere, Kansas, USA. The city priests seems to be like teachers where they despise the people they interact with (AKA: NIGGERS) and are usually a mix of whites, blacks, and a metric fuckton of Indians (yes, jeets are even replacing priests). The country priests are either full blown closet alcoholics who will eventually quit or they take it incredibly seriously and offer some of the best spiritual advice you can find. That and they have quirks to them. Example: 1 of the priests I knew drove a Barracuda he restored using Churchbux and would let us watch Happy Tree Friends at the end of religion class in high school. The other type is the yuppie priest who oversees the top 1%'s Churches. They're more or less salesmen who switch their approach depending on which rich bastard approaches them. Is the rich guy religious? Then so is the priest. Is he a golfer? The priest suddenly has an interest in golfing. The other funny thing is that if they recognize you as an outsider or poor they will treat you like scum. Nothing worse than going to a Confession and you can tell the priest actively does not care or is even making an attempt to care. I find it funny that 1 of the best Churches in my city coincidentally overlooks the best golf course in the city which is notoriously difficult to be a member of due to the costs (like, they organize classic car meetups there; the most recent being Porsche). It is also in a neighborhood comprised of old 1800s Victorian homes, most of which are made from brick and start at least in the $800k range.On a side note: Non-Denoms are the corniest experiences I have ever encountered in Christianity.
