This is my sole and only exception to the "anime can't be kino" rule.
If nips chose to rotoscope their anime instead of doing the uguu~ huge eyes crap they'd get more respect and interest from normal people instead of the legions of weebs who like watching that.

Btw the anime bombed hard because viewers considered the style ugly. I remember a friend of mine saying "what's the point of watching it if the girls aren't pretty". Smh
