is witty dialogue what you want?

Star wars is an endless list of good ideas with piss poor execution.
>>
>>215349675
What was George thinking? I respect the man but this was just dumb.

>YOUR SCREAMS ARE LIKE MUSIC TO MY AUDIO RECEPTORS
EU Grievous was so based
Filonislop ruined him

it would be much better than having a scene where something witty or really just particular/specific is required to be said, and instead only the most generic words are used. No such scene set up as this one is should result in a quote where nobody would know what movie it's from.
>>
>>215349738
why don't the jedi just use the force to pinch the arteries in the neck so they can instantly knock enemies unconscious?
>>

I think the way that Jedi channel the flow of the force only really allows them to move things, which is why things like lightning and choking are exclusive to the Sith as they actually manipulate the force.
Kind of like bending from Avatar.

this shot has the shittiest cheesy line, but unironically god tier cgi

witty dialogue is exactly what the crap in OP is supposed to be, it just isn't. same with other horrible lines like "another happy landing!" and "there's always a bigger fish"
>>
>>215353243
i agree, except 'there's always a bigger fish' is good. its also tuning your mind into (intended but not pulled off) premise of the movies, the puppet master situation of both palpatine and 'wills'
>>
Every Star Wars film after ANH (which is perfect) has some shit parts that just have to be tolerated. In Empire it's the filler scene with the Mynocks inside the asteroid, and also the cringey seduction scene between Han and Leia. In ROTJ it's a lengthy Ewok narrative that runs from the beginning of the second act to the very end – George will NOT permit you to ignore his Ewoks. In The Phantom Menace it's just about everything relating to characters and story, and so that film can only be enjoyed for its audiovisual qualities. In AOTC it's Geonosis.

When it comes to RotS, which I think is the best prequel by far, almost all the shit content is linked with General Grevious. The character provides a kind of containment zone for George's worst impulses, which happily allows the rest of the film to be good.

Moving with the Force can still be a deadly weapon. In the SW videogames that have Dark-Light alignment systems, Force Push is always a tagged as a Neutral or Universal power with no innate moral value, yet you can use it to throw enemies to their deaths from high places.
>>
Who didn’t the hundreds of droids just shoot him.
>>
>>215349791
George Lucas deliberately made him garbage in the movies because the animated cartoon made him too badass.

This. Ands its my only gripe with the prequels, but Redditlm faggots never touch it.
