I never watched this because of the bad word of mouth, but how bad can it be with the same staff as the first one?

The gambler story is just as good as anything in the first film but the other stories are definitely weaker. Still a fun watch though, especially for a bit involving Clive Owen / Josh Brolin which I don't want to spoil.

The spirit took me close to 5 times to finish because I wasnt in the mood for cheesy neo noir.

It ruins Nancy. Been forever since I watched it but that part stung.

Eva Green was perfectly cast, but they waited too long and half assed a lot

The most egregious part was how Nancy's storyline completely contradicts The Hard Goodbye, the very first and arguably the best story in the series. I've no idea what Miller was thinking. I wasn't a fan of the gambler's story, either, it seemed... directionless, I guess? It felt weird, considering how all the other stories had characters with a lazer-focus, simple motivation.

it's worth it for the nude scenes

it's just more of the same. a very safe sequel. some stories are bad in the first one and some are good, and it's the same for this one. i quite liked the hothead gambler story. it even has that woman from that new Weapons movie at her prime.

it's nowhere near as good as the first but it is still a decent companion piece. it's been a whilw but i remember marv and nancy are made slightly less cool retroactively though

It's boring
Soulless
It doesn't seem like anybody actually wants to be there

It ruined nacy pelosi career is all it had to do, bang shot get out
>>
Yeah they took like 10 years to make a sequel. I don't remember much of it except Eva Green sexo.

The one with josh brolin and eva green is pretty damn good. Otherwise, not so great, but certainly not terrible. If you love the first one (which you should), you can watch the second one and have a good time

at least as bad as the first one

And that woman from that Brad Cooper country singer movie at her prime.

They used up the best stories from the comic for the first one as a sequel was obviously not planned back then. SC:ADTKF is still a decent movie and worth a watch, it just fails to live up to the standards of the first one. Shame about Nancy though.
>>
I still find it baffling that even though there were other comics to adapt, most of this was stuff made up for the film. Now we’ll never see the remaining comic stuff
>>
Not as bad as some people say, and a lot better than The Spirit
