All events in the show obviously only happened once. What we see is the first and last time anything takes place.

Why are the characters in the show so convinced about being in some "loop"? Is this the show writers not understanding their own story?

It isn't even explained how that works logistically. Do they just Benjamin Button their way back?
>>
>>215369362
I think it's implied he got fucked up from being zapped trying to make the machine work, or he literally is the most traveled of them all.

The loop exists and they didn't break it at all as evidenced by both Jonas and Martha seeing each other in the ethereal time tunnel as children and carrying that memory with them right up until they go through the time tunnel themselves.

When the son decides to turn around, leading the doctor to never invent time travel
>>
The first season was really gearing up to be something epic and they made a convoluted mess that I forced myself to watch hoping for a coherent resolution. Like Lost
>>
>>215371562
I still enjoyed the second season, but by the third I felt it had long since made its point, and I was just wanting it to wrap up.
>>
Third season went a bit eh but it's still a solid 8/10 show for the most part.
First season is 10/10.

season 2 was fucking shit
never saw season 3

watched it like three years ago, really enjoyed season 1 and most of season 2 but I kinda stopped watching at season 3. The time travel stuff was cool but then when they started introducing multiple dimensions it felt like the writers had lost the plot and I just never really picked it back up again. Is it worth checking out?

also the whole post apocalyptic future seemed really interesting but it feels like that whole saga didn't really go anywhere or make much sense, like why is the whole word going to shit after just one power station blows up?

No

could you spoil me how it ends
I guessed by halfway through season 3 that there is no way they had a clear ending that satisfied all the plot threads and were just making it up as they went along (aka every other mistery box show) so I'm guessing that's what went down?

Here’s the ai answer:
>The ending of Dark explains that Jonas and Martha, from two parallel worlds, travel to an "origin world" to prevent the scientist H.G. Tannhaus from building a time machine, which was the cause of all the loops. By stopping the car crash that killed Tannhaus's son, they erase their own existence and the two warring worlds, leading to a "paradise" where characters who were part of the loop no longer exist. The final scene shows these unaffected characters enjoying a peaceful dinner together in this origin world

>could you spoil me how it ends
I can't. it's incomprehensible.
Something about how universe 1 is going to destroy itself because universe 2 exists
>>
>>215369362
he doesn't actually seem to
he got burnt by building the time machine and electrocuting himself everyday in the process
