Oscar Isaac is great, but his character is just snarky comic relief, so he doesn't really have anything to work with. Kylo was pure drama, so we actually got to see hints of Driver's acting, and that leaves an impression. Especially when it's surrounded by dogshit.That being said, bringing the character back in any capacity is a bad idea. Everybody wanted Obi-Wan Kenobi to come back because Ewan McGregor was the Prequel's equivalent to the aforementioned circumstances. We saw how that turned out.

It's watchable almost entirely because of them, and ONLY them. Every time they're on screen acting their asses off the movie gets vastly better than when neither of them are there. They save the film.
