I rewatched The Beach a couple years ago; and it's insane when you consider that the thrust of the movie depends on a HANDWRITTEN MAP. It just goes to show how different things were only 25-years ago. The idea that there could be a "secret paradise" that can only be found by some fucking handwritten map of all things, as if these niggas were pirates in 1999.

I've noticed all the teen and twenties A-listers from back then suddenly started to age rapidly the past two years or so. Unfortunate to see the men go from handsome fuckbois to an almost immediate old dude, and the women to go from DILFs, to MILFs, to wtf is that thing.
