Film about a film... are we entering the last (dying) phase of Hollywood circle-jerk?
>>

he cute. i want to fugg him.
>>
>>215385063
There have been several movies like that. Mank was about Citizen Kane for example.
>>
>>215385063
i want to circle jerk anthony ippolito if you know what i mean
>>
The whole homeless Stallone bargaining for his place in the movie and not accepting the sale of the script without guarantees that he would be the lead is fake. Totally fabricated. On top of that, rocky = boomer property. They're all dying of the vaccine shredding their teleomeres, which probably also impacts their TVs.

I'm lucky, I only took 9 boosters. I got out while there was still time.

Stallone made Rocky a million freaking years ago. What, he's gotta relive shooting and acting it for the first time, too? This feels like a personal hell. Like I know it's an "homage" to the "work that started his career" but this feels so masturbatory. Like, you played an every-man boxer underdog who had more heart than skill and it uncharacteristically and unrealistically carried him to defeating the champion of the world. It's a fantasy built from some kid's head. Lots of guys from different walks of life and skin color can relate to the notion of wanting to beat the top guy and be recognized as the best in your field and stay dominant as you sharpen your skills and age into your prime before retiring as a great with an unblemished record. In the eyes of the world this is an achievement.

But, like, it's over. It's done. It was a story told way back when. You had your little spin-offs. Your time in the sun. What are you even doing this anymore for? Is it partly to keep your name out there and cash a check or is it for the love of the game? What is even the message behind these films? What are you trying to get out of it or give back? What is it that needs to be said that hasn't already been dissected? What does Sly have a secret he hasn't told anyone that he's slowly parceling out through these films? Bizarre behavior.

>Asked about Farrelly’s film, Stallone admitted he was blindsided. “I was shocked to read [about] it,” he said, “I have zero to do with it.” However, the actor/director added that his memoir, “The Steps,” which recounts his arrival in New York in 1969 and the long climb to the Oscars, might eventually allow him to provide some perspective: “Since I lived it, I thought I might be able to participate and give them some insight.”

Do zoomers really not like Rocky? I thought everyone liked that movie.

They should make a movie about Typhoid Mary, make it something like Catch Me If You Can, could be fun

well at least they didn't cast a black person
>>
>>215385063
No, the last phase will be when they make a movie about the making of this movie.
>>
>>215385103
Like 90% of the cool actor backstories from back then were extremely exaggerated or outright fabricated. Before the internet it was super easy to get away with it, so of course the actors PR reps went for it
>>
>>215386389
I liked the boxing parts. I honestly didn't care for Adrian. She brings the movie down for me.

Zoomers are not aware Rocky exists.

They should make a movie about making Hearts of Darkness.
>>
>>215385103
Did you know that JK Rowling hand wrote every copy of Harry Potter because she didn't have the money to get them printed? In the 90's? When it would've cost a few cents and would've been widely available? That poor woman.
>>
>>215385063
I can't wait for the movie about making the movie about making Rocky
>>
>>215386389
Rocky turns 50 next year. Did people in the 80's watch a lot of 30's movies? Did people in the 90's watch a lot of 40's movies?
>>
>>215386389
as a zoomer i watched all of them, even the new spinoffs and i liked them, but he's probably right that a lot of the stories about stallone's early acting career is bullshit as always with these hollywood actors, they almost always come from wealthy families and they come up with some sob story about how they were a literal homeless bum who bought the first hot meal in their entire life with the first paycheck or something ridiculous
>>
>>215386389
They are unaware, they have no opinion. My dad has someone working for him named after Talia Shire and she had absolutely no idea what Rocky even is, let alone the actress. All she knew was the theme song.
>>
>>215385449
Pedowood is about milking everything forever, if you hit gold once they believe you always have more and mus perform forever.
>You had your little spin-offs. Your time in the sun. What are you even doing this anymore for?
People has been asking this since what, Rocky III? And yes, it gets worse every time.
>>
>>215385063
>Modern Hollywood is so creatively bankrupt it’s not even content remaking films from a better period anymore, now it’s literally making movies based on how the better films were made
Bleak.

Do you mean like Snow White, Wizard of Oz, Gone With the Wind, Robin Hood, Dracula, Frankenstein, The Mummy, Invisible Man and all of those Marx Brothers movies?
Yeah, I saw all of them in the 80s as a kid.
>Did people in the 90's watch a lot of 40's movies?
Do you mean like Bambi, Pinocchio, Fantasia, Citizen Kane, Casablanca, Phantom of the Opera, Miracle on 34th St and It's A Wonderful Life?
Those last two are still watched every fucking Christmas.
We had these things called video store where we would rent VHS tapes, and tv would broadcast old movies all the time.
>>
>>215385063
...what about that is new?
>>
>>215387098
Not comparable. The 70s were pretty much the beginning of the modern era of movies and movies in general are much more available now, so it's much more common for a normie zoomer today to watch stuff like Rocky, Jaws and Star Wars than it was for people in the 80s and 90s to watch stuff like Citizen Kane and Casablanca.
>>
>>215385103
>They're all dying of the vaccine shredding their teleomeres

I mean half a decade has passed and no 'vaxxie death' has happened, are schizos ready to admit they were wrong? Mind you BILLIONS have taken the vax we should be seeing hundreds of millions of deaths at the very least according to /pol/science
>>
>>215388048
>>215388426
Get together and sort this out.
>>
Is it really Hollywood if no children are abused??
>>
>>215388524
World population is roughly 157,000 right now. They uses mirrors to make it look like more
>>
>>215387098
I am a zoomer and I think Citizen Kane is one of the best movies of all time.
>>
>>215388524
Are you dense? Global deaths have rapidly increased since the vax came out. Just look at all the news stories about healthy young people dropping dead. It's everywhere. It's obviously a continuous effect too so we're about to see more deaths as more time passes when the vax causes your heart to shut down after being weakened for so long.
>>
>>215388524
>are schizos ready to admit they were wrong

These schizos are still going to be spewing "vax status" in 2050, if they live that long. Some guy dies of natural causes at age 90, but nah, it must have been that vaccine he took 30 years ago, because for some reason, its lethal effects didn't take effect until now.
>>
>>215388795
Sounds like you guys with 'covid deaths'
>>
>>215388048
>listing Disney movies when they were famously not available to rewatch before DVDs
>>
>>215385063
The "industry" onanism will never stop.
>>
>>215385063
>Film about a film... are we entering the last (dying) phase of Hollywood circle-jerk?
God willing.
Though some say The Offer, a series about the making of The Godather, was pretty good. That was a few years ago now.
Then there was Waltzing with Brando, with Billy Zane, last year.
>>
>>215389209
Bambi got a theatrical release twice in 83 and 88. Pinocchio was 84 with a VHS release in 85. Snow White in 83 and 87 and a VHS release sometime in the 90s. Lady and the Tramp got a VHS release date in 86.
Pic related.
You could have used Google to prevent looking like a retard, or alternatively your dad could have used a condom.
>>
>>215389209
Correction to >>215390409
Bambi was 82 and 88 with a home video release in 89 and 97 which I forgot to mention.
This shit is widely documented. You must be conflating the fact that the video releases were only available for a limited time with them not being widely available. Each release was pretty easy to buy for a year or two, and then you had to rely on Blockbuster.
>>
>>215388524
don't even try it, dude
>>
>>215387098
Ya ever heard of SCARFACE?
>>
>>215390561
>and then you had to rely on Blockbuster.
And as we all know, Blockbuster always had the movie or game you wanted in stock.
