Your honest opinion on him?

can't act rubber face
>>
>>215388861
an incredibly untalented and ugrateful old man
>>
>>215388861
Kino actor.
I think he elevates shittier films.
Not necessarily by his acting but through his presence.
>>
I wish somebody else wouldve made the biggest franchises in the world...this old nigger clearly doen`t care that he was involved in some of the most influential movies in human history
>>
>>215388861
He's an asshole, overrated actor.
>>
>>215388861
based, he has had a crooked nose for like 50 years and never fixed it
>>
>>215388861
Ultimately, Jewish.
>>
His grumpy old man routine spares him from various indignities. If he does something like Rise of Skywalker, he's contractually bound to do the press tour and conventions where he's surrounded by fanboys, but he's not required to soiface and squeal about how much he loves Star Wars and spaceships, because he's Harrison Ford and no one expects that. He can brush off Star Wars as nonsense and the fans will laugh, having come to accept this behaviour as standard – "Ho ho, that's our Ford!" No other Disney slave would get away with it. Boyega was literally nailed to a cross in Iger's basement after he said, jokily, "They're not gonna Disney Plus me!"
>>
>>215388861
Shit pilot.
>>
>>215388861
My favorite movie he was in was Bruno. His cameo was awesome! Only role he did better was in Apocalypse Now
>>
>>215388861
He seems like a dick.
>>
>>215388861
Used to be a good actor, but I don't think he gave a good performance since the 90s. He just doesn't care about acting anymore, and it shows.
>>
>>215388861
Very problematic because he punched nazis.
>>
He’s based af because he only does it for money and is very open about that which triggers sois like this guy: >>215389107 as opposed to cuck TDS crybaby Mark Hamill who clearly still has entire self worth tied up in being Luke.
>>
>>215389364
He's faggy as fuck because he only does it for money but bitches and moans about his movies like someone is holding a gun to his head.
This shit is why pimps make sure to slap the shit out of their whores.
>>
>>215389290
He stopped giving a fuck after Mosquito Coast flopped, it really broke him
>>
His best roles: Indiana Jones and Han solo.
Name other good roles. There isnt
>>
>>215388861
Starred in some 80s and 90s kino. I'm having hard time remembering his 00s filmography that isn't related to his previous films.
>>
>>215388861
Not much of an actor but makes starshitters seethe their fat little manbaby pants off so he's fine by me.
>>
>>215388861
he was a good actor back when he put any effort into it
then he stopped giving a shit
he doesn't have to. definitely not for my sake. he's rich and surrounded by sycophants, he obviously doesn't need to give a shit, but it's still sad
watching conan slurp and gag on his limp dick on the podcast recently was painful

Straight world. Training made men examples of standards. Women meet them at that with that. Built beauty buildings made by carpenters, care, etc. Ally McBeal lover, daughter, wife, toy. At home in a tall white hotel allowed in every room occupied by couples.
Harrison is the essence of the mission. Outside as she plays. With another woman talk straight and applied.
Others talk. They are noise. They are allowed life as suiting.
A hellicopter lands on a H above a cinema with a sizzler joined. A ladder falls down the side of the building. In full view he and her climb and board. Ride to the hotel, over it. She looks at him. Him looking at the hotel like goodbye to her is now. She looks ahead. Too much avoided.
Helicopter over the water passes an structure on the water. He jumps out, no warning. Too high. She shoots a grenade at the surface detonating just right.
He swims. She drops on top.
You hear gunfire looking at Harrison's eyes. He is more dangerous that will arrive just as they know they have the upper hand wrong.

>>
>>215388861
When considering that Harrison Ford only plays "Harrison Ford" in everything, he's not really a good actor. He did luck his way into two of the most iconic movie roles ever (Han Solo and Indiana Jones).

He absolutely RUINED the sequels to every one of his beloved franchises. He doesn't actually come off as those original characters anymore. He's Grumpy Old Man Ford who just rolled out of bed, tossed on whatever was lying on the floor and demanded they shoot this shit already. Give him some quips, make him fart out some memberberries, kill him off, then give him $50 million and fuck off. That's all he is now.
>>
Seems like a boring asshole in real life like De Niro but he's been in a few good movies. Not very talented. Definitely has the movie star looks and charisma though.
>>
>>215391509
It wont matter, because people with actual talent wont have to worry about the Hollywood system and their bullshit anymore. The cream will simply rise to the top. That's means if George sucks that hard at writing, someone better will take his place.

It's a 'what is seen' vs 'what is unseen' problem. As great as Star Wars was, you think there weren't people living and dying at the time who had the raw talent, but not the tard-wrangling and fuckery-combat skillz required to make a movie?

Just look at the landscape now, and how many genuinely talented people are not making movies - can't make movies - while the Wokefags and DEI hires are literally running the show. Once you can unleash all that real talent, old movies are going to look like shit in comparison because there was always some kind of limitation.
eg. The best leading lady you could get was from a limited population, scheduling, AND willing to suck the producer's dick on the casting couch.
>>
>>215391532
Come on nigger, there's been 32 years between Jedi and Force Awakens.
That's more than you've been alive.
>>
>>215391532
did ford ruin blade runner, or did denis/wb ruin blade runner by having him come back when it was unnecessary? he only did it for the money, he didn't care for the film or working with ridley but appreciated the character
>>
>>215391567
I remember the first time I saw him in an interview, back in the early days. He was boring without a writer giving him cool lines to say.

It's when it first really clicked for me that characters in TV and film are not the actors, and how they are just part of what makes a good character. how much they are just meatpuppets. A good character is a composite entity dependent on a bunch of talented people, writers, directors, editors, right down to costuming, make up, cinematography, and lighting and shit. Gave me a new appreciation for these other people and their work. Which is why Christian Bale can get fucked for going off on that faggot for fucking around with the lights during a scene. Yeah, that would be part of all the shit that makes you look heroic in the film instead of just the douchebag actor you are dickhead.

Also why when actors come off as arrogant wankers when they clearly don't understand they are boring fucks and nobody really gives a fuck about them as much as the character - which they can't do by themselves. That's why there's nothing worse than one of these faggots playing their character in any kind capacity outside their movie or show.
>>
>>215388861
His acting in the original Blade Runner almost ruins the movie

>>
>>215391756
this is a nice fantasy
in reality, gate keeping is good (even if flawed) and a barrage of retards prompting bullshit will just make it harder to find the good stuff
no one is going to want to watch whatever you make just because you promise them that you're actually really smart and your movie is good, unlike all the other slop everyone else is making
I can't predict what's going to rise to the top, if anything. but it's not looking good
>>
>>215391991
>editors
The MVPs right there. I sincerely believe that editors are the most talented people involved in productions, not directors. They make or break a movie.
>>
>>215392219
I'd say there's a lot of truth to that. A more acute example is how a good music video editor can take a few quick cuts from the reams and reams of garbage footage shot over days, and make just about anyone look cool for three minutes.
>>
>>215392209
There will be more garbage, but that doesn't mean it makes good art harder to find. Did so many people go and watch the original Star Wars in 1977 because they saw some ad or there wasn't absolute shit being made that year they could have seen instead, or did organic word get around that even fake marketing hype could never equal?
>>
>>215392458
Looking at May '77 releases, yeah there wasn't shit playing back then lmao
but the trailer did excite audiences and strong word of mouth ballooned the fuck out of its box office, not right away though, in fact when star wars first released it did okay and then smokey & the bandit overshadowed it for a bit before it blew up
>>
>>215388861
He's a boomer self-insert icon. I cringe whenever I see him.
>>
>>215388861
Pretty up his own ass, but I still love almost all his work.
>>
I think Ford is incredibly charismatic. I'm talking Bruce Willis-level charisma or old Clint Eastwood.
Harrison could sell movies just by having his name attached to them. Sadly, as has been mentioned in this thread, he simply stopped caring at some point, just like Bruce Willis and Bill Murray.
I would have loved to see HF aged like Viktor Eastwood and pursue filmmaking out of passion, not money. Maybe not as a director, but as an actor who chooses interesting roles.

>>215392549
If a movie is shit it doesn't matter how much marketing and money is behind it, that fact gets out and becomes apparent.
If a movie is good, as in gives you feels, has 'movie magic', etc. you can't stop that getting out either.

The art is what matters at the end of the day, box office doesn't matter when it comes to what's actually good or not. 'The Force Awakens' can get shilled and make a bajillion, but it was always obvious shit and still is. 'The Thing' can bomb at the box office and people still wont shut up about it literally 50 years later.

As an artist making your shit you want to profit from it and so you might have to advertise, but that's your fucking problem, since art can be happily appreciated after you're long dead. But if you think you could hide kino forever, even in an ocean of shit, you're delusional.

Like how did you know 'Primer' existed at all? We're you casually scrolling through your Netflix menu and thought the title and poster looked cool? Fuck no. Somebody told you to watch it because you're some kind of sci-fi nerd and based kino appreciator, and you've told plenty of other people about it since. Not all of them rushed out to watch it on your say-so, but one day they'll hear about it from one too many people, or they'll see it risen near the top on some feed they follow, and all that previous shit they heard will result in a click. Then they'll watch it, research all the shit about it you did after you watched it, and never fucking shut the fuck up about it the rest of their life.

in guinness' defense he was already a veteran of the industry with several award-winning performances under his belt and was widely respected among his fellow thespians, yet it was him doing a fun kid's film for the money that gained him worldwide attention he never envisioned (or maybe did envision but not by this way) and that's why he became bitter about playing obi-wan

ford on the other hand was just starting his career and was catapulted to success due to it and has in many interviews both back then and now talked about how he was never much of a sci-fi fan but star wars appealed to him due to its human elements standing out more, that's why he tried blade runner and then promptly bailed on the genre and stuck to action/drama films

meanwhile james earl jones handled his success the best: everyone wanted the voice of darth vader and had no problems with it being attached to a negro (he was at least half white anyway).

That´s a myth though. In reality Ford was already an actor and had already worked with George on American Graffiti. He was doing carpentry because he figured he had to stick around in showbiz anyway he could in case a chance came by, and what do you know...

I reckon the myth version is far more romantic though.

He was really good in 'What Lies Beneath." Its been years since I seen iit but him leaning over the bathtub and casually telling Michelle Pfeiffer how gorgeous she is and how great the sex was but she was just to smart for her own good and that's why had had to kill her. Then he pulled their dog away from the tub so that he wouldn't see what he was going to do to her and thank God she got out of that sticky situation by the skin of her toe.
Then there was that Inside The Actors Studio that he did and they showed a clip of an older movie that he starred in. I don't know the name of it and I haven't seen it, but the premise of it was Ford had lost his memory and he was with someone who was trying to help him remember the man that he was or something along those lines. The cut that they showed had him holding her in his arms, and I know a lot of what he said is credit to the films writer, but it was along the lines of what he wanted. I want a home, I want to go somewhere with you, I want the things that make a life good. Something like that, its been years since I seen it. And Ford's delivery was so succinct; it was so sincere in his declaration about the life that he wanted and wanted with his girl, you know? I felt in just those few words with that one clip he was able to put together in the simplest terms the innate desires we all have, even if we were to entirely forget who we are.

Great film star; not that great an actor. Limited range.

Solid filmography. Producers must have loved him. Didn't he say (a while back admittedly) that Mosquito Coast was the only one of his films that lost money?
