Damn, that's crazy

They targeted voters
>>
>vote to kick the foreigners out
>have to import twice as many foreigners as a result because you kicked out all the Europeans and were just left with "colonials"
kwab moment ngl
>>
Seriously watch this. Benedict cumberbatch’s character campaigns to get as many people to vote leave as possible and masterminds the campaign but is then distraught that he wins because it means leaving muh EU and increasing muh anti-immugrunt sentiment
>>
Europe is so funny

>because it means leaving muh EU and increasing muh anti-immugrunt sentiment
That's so stupid those two things were the entire basis for Brexit

how could the do that to the voters?
>>
>if we leave the EU then we won't be able to freely travel to other european countries!
That's ok, we could just work out a free travel agreement with the EU without being a member.
>no! they'll never agree to that!
Isn't it odd to you that they would hold free travel conditional to being in the EU if being in the EU wasn't a trade-off of some kind? Have you never been curious what insidious conditions the EU wants you to accept to get the things you want?
>>
>>215393074
Its not a movie for now, its a movie for 20 years from now when the world is in an even worse spot and they can't point to this obvious revision as the true story. Like all the trump movies that came out in the last 5 or so years
>>

now the UK is buck broken by shit economic policy, millions of useless immigrants, and nanny state laws that ristrict you from saying your opinion

Genuinely shambolic

To be fair, Brexit only happened because they believed they were still an important country.
>>

>Benedict Cumberbatch
Who?
>>
I always find it weird when Americans think Brexit was a bad decision.
It just shows you truly don't understand what it was about or how the EU functions.

Imagine if over time NAFTA evolved from a simple trade agreement into some quasi extranational state with it's own laws, currency, judiciary, etc and all of these superseded American ones.
Imagine US citizens being beholden to laws written and passed in Canada.
Imagine a judge in Mexico overruling the US Supreme court.
You telling me you would be fine with this?
>>
>>215393489
>pakis
>filthy polaks
Can't you literally get arrested in the UK for saying this online? kek
>>
Brexit has become the new climate change scapegoat for the UK far left. Don't like something today, maybe the price of beef is too high ? Or muslims raped your daughter ? Well you shouldn't have voted for brexit we told you so.
>>
>>215394225
reddit said brexit bad tho
>>
>>215394606
And Reddit is full of retarded mutts who, as mentioned before, simply do not comprehend how the EU works and retarded left wing Europeans who have lived under the full might of the EU's bureaucracy for so long they've been stockholm syndrome'd into thinking it's good and that their country literally could not survive without it.
>>
>>215393325

None of that is because of Brexit, and even if we stayed inside the EU, we'd have all that plus the problem of paying the EU an increasingly larger amount of gibs.

Most of Europe has problems with fucking mass immigration right now. Because of Merkel literally saying let them all in.
Most of Europe is economically in the shitter with countries like Germany being in a recession.
The EU is also trying to adopt nanny state laws like the online safety act and digital ID.

Honestly almost nothing would have changed even if we did stay in the EU. The country and Europe in general is in massive decline right now.

THANKS BORIS
>>
>>215394678

The craziest part about the Boris wave is how Boris Johnson still denies it happened. Nigga in the 2 years you were in power you let in like 4 million extra people. That is more than the past 20 fucking years combined.

Dude acts like he is some fucking saint, when most of the problems we have right now are because of him and his government.
>>
As a voter, I felt targeted
>>
>>215394225
Which is essentially what the United States is too, except the EU is less evil because you're allowed to leave.
>>
>>215393325
>grrr Brexit ruined everything
Things would be twice as bad under the EU. The Brit equivalent of libs were going to ruin everything anyhow
>>
>>215394757
>Dude acts like he is some fucking saint, when most of the problems we have right now are because of him and his government.
I think that's downplaying how fucking useless all our governments have been for some time to be fair. Boris Johnson was a fucking trainwreck, don't get me wrong - but the current state of this country has been decades in the making.
>>
>>215394720
>they have cute brown daughters that I introduce to BWC
I don't see the problem.
>>
>>215394678
It's worse than that.
Since 2010 the UK has consistently voted to lower immigration. In 2010 the Conservatives were elected with a manifesto pledge to lower it to the "tens of thousands". It is now hovering around a million.
Since 2010, there have been four general elections and of course the EU referendum, every time, the public voted for the party promising to lower immigration and every time, the public were completely ignored.
There is no democratic solution.
>>
>>215394678
If you wanted to lower immigration you were supposed to vote Remain, so they'd get the message
>>
>>215394835

It's almost like we have a fucking uni-party.

Tony Blair implemented a ton of disastrous changes that changed essentially hundreds of years of British traditional rule.
And the tories did literally nothing to try and undo these changes. They instead just made things worse.
And now labour are just implementing all the policies the tories didn't get chance to finish implementing, while also implementing their own equally shitty policies.

>>215394853

The UK has consistently voted to lower immigration since just after WW2.
>>
>>215394796
Sure, but the US states all have a shared culture, history, language, ethos, etc.
Texas and California are infinitely more similar than Spain is to Poland.
>>
>>215392794

democracy is supposed to be a choice between leftists pushing the envelope ever more and "conservatives" who apologize for only having the same positions as leftists did a decade ago, what's so hard to understand about that?
>>
>>215394796
We are all connected evenly by land, we all speak the same language, we all bleed red white and blue. Now tell me what Greeks and Scottish people have in common.
>>
>>215394890
>The UK has consistently voted to lower immigration since just after WW2.
This is somewhat true.
The UK public did enthusiastically vote for Blair though.
>>
>>215394932
The first time, sure, but every election after that his popularity dwindled. By his last election, when immigration was really biting hard, crime hit its highest ever level, and Britain had followed America into a totally pointless war, he only received 35.2% of the vote (making him the most unpopular election winner in British history at the time) and only won because the lib dems split the vote.
>>
>>215394853
>There is no democratic solution
the fuck British Timmy gon do?
>>
>>215393010
Nigel Fagot said many times that EU is bad because it limits UK access to immigrants from the Commonwealth.

>they targetted voters
>VOTERS
>They're a group of people who will wait for hours, days, even weeks on end performing some of the hardest, most mentally demanding tasks. Over, and over, and over all for nothing more than a little sticker saying we did.
>They'll punish our themselfs doing things others would consider torture, because they think it's fun.
>They'll spend most if not all of their free time min maxing the stats of a fake politician all to draw out a single extra point in an election
>Many of them have made careers out of doing just these things: slogging through the grind, all day, the same booths over and over, hundreds of times to the point where we know every little detail such that some have attained such voter nirvana that they can literally vote blindfolded.
>Voters are competitive, hard core, by nature. They love a challenge. The worst thing you did in all of this was to challenge them. You're not special, you're not original, you're not the first; this is just another election.

The problem is that the UK then went on to govern itself way worse than it had before brexit which kinda undermines the point
>>
>>215393010
>have to
They didn't have to do anything. They voted against it at every opportunity they could. The government just ignored its citizens and continuously worked to destroy their own country.

The only solution is revolution, but Europeans are too weak to do it. I've just accepted the fact that Europe is going to turn completely 3rd world.

Brexit is unrelated. The UK is just full of incompetent retards, and most of them negotiated and fucked around in bad faith in order to "prove that brexit was a mistake", under the assumption that if they made the living conditions shit enough it would get undone.
I'm not even british and their country fucking irritates me.
