that movie with a woman that lost her spouse set in a house with a nearby lake. i barely remember any of it but there was one scene... the scare was so unexpected and well executed it felt like my soul left my body for a moment. i was pissed at the director how frightening he made it. had to pause the fucking movie and take a smoke break. fuck.

REC was at the first 9am showing (they used to have those!), I was the only person in the theater. Best horror movie experience I've had, tied with watching The Shining in my grandmas basement on VHS when I was 8 because my cousin had left it in the VCR after he rewinded it.
